"Attended the ginstronomy night and I am so impressed. It was a four course meal with gin pairing, the theme was Japanese inspired food which was paired with kokoro gin and liqueurs. Our first dish was Tempura tofu in miso broth with soda noodles, edamame and sesame. This was so delicious, very rich and silky texture of the broth and amazing umami and spicy flavour. This came paired with a cherry blossom gin liqueur with pomegranate. 2nd course was charred tuna tataki with pickled asparagus and enoki mushroom. Another amazing dish full of flavour, the tuna was delicate and omg the mushrooms were heavenly! Paired with a refreshing tall cocktail made with blueberry and lemongrass liqueur. Our 3rd dish was Teriyaki lamb cutlets with aubergine and miso paste and crispy noodles. There was so much lamb here and it was blushed to perfection, tender and succelent. This dish arrived with a gin and tonic using the kokoro gin, a very citrus drink. Finally I was wowed again by the dessert. A matcha pannacotta with yuzu and a sesame macadamia. The pannacotta was perfect and so silky and amazing with the macadamia"

We visited on Valentine's Day and everything was absolutely delicious. This is the best modern British cuisine in Manchester—highly recommended! You can't go wrong at Herd NQ!

Went in for a few drinks after dinner. The food smelt amazing so we decided to order a few small plates, the Mac and Cheese is AMAZING. It seems they change the menu often, this is a good sign of sustainable sourcing. Would 100% recommend.

Last night was the second time to get to herd and honestly I can't wait to go back! Food is incredible... Good to wait for a busy Saturday night worth it! It was cooked in about 5 minutes delicious steak to perfection and the same with the lamb plate also (managed to get the last! Fab Service by Liv, friendly and welcoming. Couldn't recommend it very enough, proper hidden gem in the northern quarter

I absolutely love this place! I've always had a fantastic experience here. The food is delectable, and the steaks are cooked to perfection. The variety of side dishes is fantastic and pairs wonderfully with the steaks. They also offer an amazing Steak Night Deal. Additionally, there's an excellent selection of drinks and cocktails. I'll definitely be returning many times, and I highly recommend a visit!

Lovely place, had the vegetarian Sunday dinner and my boyfriend had the meat Sunday dinner. They didn't have the cauliflower for the roast so instead they served some sweet potatoes and bean patty, it was delishous I was quite glad they didn't have the cauliflower in the end. They served a free cauliflower cheese to us which was a nice surprise and the portions were good in size, left very full and happy

We went to this place trying to look for a new place for valentines dinner. I have been living more than a year in Manchester and I had never heard about it. But no regrets at all, service and food was top notch. They had 2 options either the valentines or the normal menu. Our food was amazing, specially the mac n cheese sooo good. I would recommend it if you want to try an excellent piece of meat with super tasty sides

Fantastic service, relaxed atmosphere, and outstanding food. This restaurant is ideal for a laid-back evening where you can catch up with friends and savor delicious dishes. I would say it serves the best steak in Manchester. I tried the 10-ounce rump steak, accompanied by perfectly cooked chips and delicate broccoli drizzled with hazelnut oil. However, I can't help but think I'd also love to try the macaroni cheese next time!

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
