High Tor Restaurant And Bar

A lovely hot, cooked to perfection 3 course meal and great service. Had the steak and it was cooked just as I asked for.

Enjoyed a NYE meal here, 5 course dinner, couldn't fault it, staff were friendly and helpful. I couldn't manage my delicious chocolate cake, so they let me take it back to our room.

The chef must have had a night off,as the chicken and steaks we had were overcooked,not hot,and generally the quality of the food was poor for an excellent hotel like this disappointing.

I really enjoyed the food here, was fresh and nice varied menu. The wine list is good and really well priced which is nice! Chef is always quote accommodating with mixing it up a bit too food wise!

Stayed here for a night recently.Staff were very welcoming.Rooms decent with a great bathroom.Ate in the evening on steak night and good attentive service and decent food.Hotel makes a good base for Derbyshire dales and is walking distance to Heights of Abraham and Matlock Bath

We booked a couple of nights here not sure what to expect. It was lovely the room was top notch very contemporary, super bathroom the staff we really polite and friendly. Would definitely go back. There is a restaurant doing evening meals which we used one evening and wasn't disappointed.

From check in to check out amazing service, attentive to detail, friendly warm atmosphere, wonderful room, enjoyed watching stars from my roof window when clouds cleared, wonderful buffet amazing eggs benedict for breakfast, did not want to leave almost wished for the snow that started had stayed.

We recently had a Valentines Meal at the Artists Corner Restaurant, High Tor Hotel. It was excellent food, and very good value for money. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We have also had many a Sunday dinner, which is also excellent food and good value for money. Can highly recommend this for Sunday dinner and we will shortly try an evening meal during the week, as we know this will be excellent food served with the friendly high standards we have enjoyed to date.

This is a hidden gem! My partner and I have been numerous times for Sunday lunch and the standard, value and service is exceptional. I cannot praise this place highly enough. Along with the fantastic Sunday lunch which offers plenty of choice and caters for gluten free, there is also a wonderful view of climbers on 'High Tor '. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, comfortable and has a lovely relaxing ambience with soft background music. Every one who visits Matlock Bath should try the Sunday lunch.
