"The tagine here is way too amazing to reduce the overall rating because of the staff. After a visit to the Institut des Cultures d'Islam, a couple of us were going to head to an Israeli restaurant, but the rain made us to decide to find a restaurant nearby. I, personally, have never had tagine so imagine what a treat it was to have such a delicious meal based on an impromptu decision. Generally, I dread the thought of couscous. I, obviously, have had a poor quality of the dish because this was a complement to the meal I decided to order. The food takes about 20-30 minutes to arrive and is well worth the wait.I picked the tagine with pears, and the dish came out piping hot in a ceramic style pot. As I was starving, I tried to blow and eat, and continued to do this throughout the meal because I refused to put my fork down. It's ALWAYS amazing to stumble upon an orgasmic meal. It's even better when it's a surprise. We spent more than 2 hours at the restaurant eating and chatting.Initially, it did seem like the waitress wasn't very warm, but I just consider that a French thing. People frequently seem cold and aloof. By the end of the meal, she flashed a bright smile, gave us a card for the restaurant, and allowed us to linger. This place is great for ALL types of visits. I only had one dish and that dish was worthy of five stars. My meal was also only 14 euro."

Nice atmosphere. Locals. Very good tagine sans pretension. Decent wine. Desserts less successful. Pleasant staff. Worth a second visit.

Me and my business partner went there everyday to have a beer, bevearage and/or food and to work! The staff are super awesome and friendly and the place is just lovely. love La Mome!

Actually, tagine is what this restaurant specialises in, and the only thing I have ever eaten there, and it's always been very good. Service is friendly, and atmosphere pleasant. House wine nothing special.

We knew nothing about Moroccan food when we went in. The hostess suggested the special: Baked chicken with pears and almonds. Served with couscous, it hit the spot. It was the high point of a long day of travel!

Living in the neighborhood I love when I find a good place to eat. Unfortunately I find the owners and waiters rather cold and not smiling at all. A shame as I stopped going there because I don't feel welcome at all.

this is probably the friendliest place for a tourist residing at goutte d'or for any reason. friendly service, nice crowd and surprising selection of homemade craft beers will make your stay pleasant. food looks nice but unfortunately i did not have a chance to try it

Since we stayed in the neighborhood for 3 weeks, we went twice in order to try different things. I really liked the salmon in a stew with a goodly assortment of veggies and a savory sauce (served with couscous on the side). The mutton was a bit less interesting to my taste. The lentils with meatballs was good but probably a bit too much of the same thing. The chicken on skewers with honey and sesame was a smaller portion, different, attractive and just right. Since things seem to be cooked to order, it takes a while: about 20 minutes. We also had their home-brewed beer which tasted like beer but was unappetizingly cloudy. Never mind. The location is pleasant as was the service. I'm guessing...

I ate here with 2 friends a few months ago...It was the most delicious food I had in all my visits to Paris...I am still dreaming of and trying to make a version of my tagine of duck with pistachios and pomegranate..I'm actually experimenting with vegetarian versions..My friends each had another delicious tagines which I tasted, but mine was so heavenly I can't remember theirs...the couscous was also the lightest and tastiest I've had...Good enough to eat plain. .As for the service, it was fine for us....We were in no hurry...It's Paris, and a Moroccan restaurant, so being in a hurry is culturally inappropriate....The owner is a lovely, beautiful woman who knows how to make some really great...

Unfortunately, we visited this restaurant on our last evening in Paris and were unable to repeat the experience we most definitely would have done had we had more time! The ambience in this restaurant is lovely, the owner couple extremely friendly and service minded, and the food fabulous! I did not know what a tagine was, but after trying out the kufta with vegies tagine, I am sold on the dish! Our starter of goose and cream (foie gras) was excellent too, and my husband enjoyed his duck tagine very much. The wine was good too (I do not remember the name but it was one of the cheaper ones), and since my husband wanted beer and I couldn't possibly have finished the bottle, the owners corked it...
