"After I lived in hamburg for 5 1/2 years, I had never been in this italian until recently, and I missed something because this place is excellent! I asked the oberkllner if they could mix to main dishes, which meant that I can (the best of all time!) this is one of the best meals I had for a long time :-). excellent! the wine card is limited, but good, and the red wines are served with the perfect temperature (16-18 c). although the place was full, my colleague and I could lead undisturbed a private conversation (good acoustics) and also during rushhour the service was really good and personal. I was so happy with the experience that I brought my family to this restaurant only a few days later. the greeting by the chef was almost overwhelming. I will definitely come back again and again! welcome to my personal top 5 of the Italian restaurants in hamburg!"

the service is nice, eat really poor. vino, which usually cost 2€, sell them for 30€... and I think the worst pizza I ever had.

great reception by the manager! good eating, but the equipment of the restaurant is cheap: no serviettes, brot of bad quality, fairly noisy, no water, ... service slow, but nice. per se no bad experience, but the high TripAdvisor brand is not quite worth?

one of my best experiences in the hamburg restaurant scene. attentive and welcoming personal, warm and intimate atmosphere, delicious food that is perfectly prepared. a bit off the main hamburgs, but in any case a detour worth. menus in Italian and German. there might also be English menus, but I didn't ask.

I use to live in the opposite, so I often visit this place and was always satisfied. but in general, I think hamburg has a lot of good Italian places, so after moving to the other side I did not really visit it until yesterday and I must say I was even happy surprised. I have forgotten exactly which standard they have set. they compete with the best Italian places I tried in hamburg and has the lowest price when the go. worth for money 10/10. great host, great staff, great prices and so delicious food. we visited an evening early when the summer had finally returned to the city. so the place was filled from minute to minute and we had the luck to get a table on the terrace. the service was charming and fast and even though we told them that we only started dinner, everything was in order. my antipasto speciale was incredibly good: a generous portion of everything that should be Italian. was, however, unimpressed by the industry. wein in glass comes directly from the bottle and is of good quality. we will visit again.

we came when they still cleared up the place at 17:30 a.m.; the fact that I spoke in Italian with the very friendly waiter of torino, opened the doors and worked a beautiful table. some brave people dare to go outside in this cold, inside. is much cosier, like a bistrô, but with Italian songs playing on the background. the menu can be read on a table, with a series of starts, pasta and dressed with meat or seafood, all too reasonable praises. the orchidee was simply perfect and the rest of the tomato sauce of the gnocchi on the plate was eaten with brot, so delicious it was! in the did a place to revise and recommend!

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
