"We booked in advance for this restaurant via our hotel Can Auli, and got an outside table, about 7 available, which is a must to see the sun go down though is so hot if you arrive before sunset. We were greeted but felt that they had not quite started the evening at 7 30pm as we were not given the bread and alioli or even offered it, neither were we shown the fresh fish of the day, which everyone else did afterwards. In fact we had to ask if there were any specials. Nevertheless we ordered squid in tempura and croquettes to start. Squid were lovely, croquettes (12) were tasty but would have been a starter for 4. Then we had the steak and chips which was served carved on a board, and was really nice, along with mixed paella for two. I am not sure if mallorcan paella is different to Spanish, but it was quite dark in colour. No issues with that. But for a mixed paella we had two large prawns each, two mussels each and the odd bit of squid. For the meat there were tiny bits of meat on and off the bone. Then a few bits of pepper and beans, like broad beans. We felt it lacked fish and definitely meat, was dry and a bit bland. Edible and OK but not for us. As I say, this could be the mallorcan way but could have done with more substance. The setting is amazing though. I know there are better and worse along the strip. Maybe see which restaurants have availability in three days time, if they can fit you in, try elsewhere. Would I go back, probably yes and go for something different. Enjoy"

Rude maitre d. Forgetful, uninterestd waiter. Mediocre food. Wake up. Wonder why the terrace was empty. The general standard if retos in Soller far exceed this classic tourist trap.

A beautiful setting perfect for watching the sun go down! It’s a really pretty venue with tables lining the promenade. We had the paella which was delicious and recommended by locals in the area.

January 2022, very good quality/price, and very good views. We ate a black rice and it's not so good for a long time. Don't expect a cheap place where it is, but it's worth food and sight. note: it didn't seem expensive, but it was also low season.

Always a pleasure to visit here, we are regulars when in Soller and made to feel very welcome each time. The paellas are fantastic as are a multitude of starters and specials. Beautiful setting with the gorgeous tram heading past every now and then, an absolute treasure.

We arrived early, in fact we were the only clients in the restaurant. We asked for some squids in tempura while waiting for the vegetable paella. A few minutes later, 2 people entered and asked for plant paella. A while ago we had finished the squids (which by the way came to the table only hot), when they brought the paella, but they served the people who came after us. We waited a lot longer, but the paella was still out of it. When we asked for explanations, the waiter told us not to get nervous, that the tickets were in order and that we were not indifferent to the food. I think all I had to do was apologize. a pity the service is not until the kitchen because the waves are excellent.

This restaurant was recommended to us by another restaurant owner. It has a lovely view but no real atmosphere as most customers are sitting in a single row in front of the restaurant. The staff are all young females dressed in ‘uniforms’ of shorts and top. This made me uncomfortable do they all want to have so much flesh on display? Certainly there were very few smiles from the team and no chat. Our starter of calamari was really delicious but we were only half way through when our paella arrived and they just commenced serving that which is very poor service. The paella had a great flavour but was very oily. So overall not a great experience and it is one of the more expensive restaurants...

This was our first visit to Las Olas which has always been highly recommended. However, on reading other reviews I have to agree that it isn’t really up to scratch. Several of the starters were unavailable at 3pm, pigs trotters, mussels and even hummus. We chose the octopus to share but it was very chewy and not very tasty. Then on to the black paella which we had been told was a must. It was supposed to have mixed seafood but there were 4 prawns (not very big), 4 mussels (small), some unidentifiable pieces of fish and some chopped green beans. The whole dish was dry as if it had been re heated. I see that other reviewers say the same. After this we were left for over an hour before anyone c...
