"We absolutely loved this place. There's a great back-story to the place, which explains how a Polish-Mexican place came about – and why it has a French name – be sure to ask the staff. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming, just off a delightful village-y area of Mayfair (and very near the original Curzon cinema, which is what brought us to the area). Staff were super friendly and fun. Best of all was the food. Turns out nachos really are a perfect match for sliced Polish sausage; who knew? I had a sausage with bigos and my parter had beef enchiladas. Both were excellent, especially accompanied by a few shots of flavoured vodka (homemade, I believe). I'd definitely come back and it would be a great place to bring a group of friends. Thanks to the staff for a great evening."

The staff was extremely friendly, the variety of menu options was impressive, catering to all dietary restrictions. The highlight of the experience was the delicious selection of shots available. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Other reviewers echo our sentiments, all the dishes were tasty and well presented and prices very reasonable. Plenty of nearby pubs for pre or post dinner drinks. A little cramped for room inside but the ambience is great. How could you possibly go past a...Polish Mexican menu. View menu

A lucky find in Central London. The staff was amazing, very welcoming. The atmosphere was very cozy. We loved both the Mexican and Polish food options (was a cure for homesick Polish friends) and the accomponying conversation. And of course a shot of Polish vodka. The prices are reasonable for the deliciousy and location. The warmth surrounded us after a cold evening walk at the Hyde Park.

It was a lucky find, a group of us had met up for a reunion and were having drinks in Shepherd Market. We needed somewhere to eat and came across L'Autre -it's a bit confusing as it offers Mexican/Polish food but don't let that...confuse or put you off! We had a variety of Polish dishes as I am from Polish parentage and wanted them to experience as much of the cuisine as possible: Pierogi (dumplings) with Borsch (beetroot soup) -excellent Bigos "peasant dish of cabbage and meat, usually pork) Meatballs with mash a beetroot All washed down with beer and a few bottles of wine -I know, a wierd mixture.... Would definately go back Dziekuje i na zdrowie!

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
