"We stopped at this place, attracted by the nice decoration. All started well. We were welcomed warmly and the contact was nice. The place is a bit confusing. In fact it is across a street. On one side it is called "Bistrot de Jules", and on the other side it is called "Don Juan". Also, the menu is named after "Bistrot de jules", but the credit card bill is on "Don Juan". Well, not really our business, but...We liked a lot the decoration and we also had a good contact with the staff. What we did not like: We ordered 4 dishes and they arrived across 30 minutes. The time span was such as the last one of us received his dish when the 2 first were done with theirs. And this with no explanation nor apologies. The wait time is unacceptably long. The place claims that they are "Maitre restaurateur". Can this that a place with such a claim can not plan the dish delivery? 5 ot 6 other tables left before ordering. As far as the dishes are concerned, we can not have a big complain. We were told that the gnocci and the ravioli are made by an artisan, but all the rest is home made. The menu is very short, which is usually a good sign. However, the raviolies are over cooked. Again, a "maitre restaurateur" should know this. Overall our global feeling is negative. Too many approximations and the price/quality not catching up, even if the good contact we had was a real plus."

Divine experience at chez jules. Had lunch with my partner. The service was fantastic but the food was even better. Cannot wait to return next year

Siamo stati a cena con la mia ragazza in questo posto dove siamo capitati fortuitamente. sembra un posto turistico, ma in realtà si mangia benissimo e i prodotti sono davvero buoni. vini ottimi e personale molto disponibile

We were initially seduced by the ‘fresh produce’ arrangements on the tables, but certainly not disappointed by the food. Very fresh produce, well prepared and served by conscientious waiting staff. Liked it so much we booked again for a 2nd visit equally good.

Had a pleasant lunch here. Clientele was a mix of tourists and locals. Waiter didn't speak much English and misunderstood our request for separate checks, but the rest of the experience was great. Had the plat du jour - really good fresh fish with assortment of local veggies, very simply preparedWe sat outside, and were entertained by a passing busker playing his accordion.

My husband and I dined here as our daughter had been to this restaurant and loved it!I liked the simple decor, beautiful fresh bread served in paper bags with delicious olive oil and the waitresses were so friendly and helpful. I can't imagine why anyone would not like it, simple tasty food at very affordable prices! We shared the mixed entree of tender calamari with fresh tomatoes and meatballs. For desssert my husband had a mango pannacotta and I had a peach salad which was fresh and delicious!

Attracted by the quintessential bistro vibe, we highly recommend this busy & intimate little place for the best value lunch we've had on the cote D'Azur in a long while. While the menu is a lot shorter than the more upscale sister restaurant opposite, the prices are ridiculously cheap for good food. We ate the most succulent lamb shank with pommes purees, fresh calamari & well-dressed salad. With coffee & a glass of house red, this will be our go-to for future lunches in Antibes. The team of young & committed staff is accommodating & efficient; they deserve every success.

The waiter started by telling us they only served traditional French food, no chips or potatoes (obviously thinking as we are British we only want chips and potatoes). We were happy to have French food, until it arrived. The gnocchi were balls of soggy potato, the ravioli were not recognisable as ravioli but at least came with some large stewed meat chunk. The Nice assortment comprised a lot of greasy carbs and a stuffed tomato. What made matters worse was that some other customers seemed to be tucking in to hamburgers, which were definitely not on the menu we were given. We won't be going back.

First we tried to get a table in the second part of the restaurant on the other side of the street called "Don Juan". Waiter there was friendly but useless so after 30min of waiting we asked if we can get a table at "Bistrot de Jules" which had 2 tables empty. ...MISTAKE! their waiters were awful, not friendly (even though we spoke French to them), most of the time ignoring us..They told us we can't order food from Don Juan menu even though there were tables around us eating food from their menu. Wine selection was very poor and served in dirty glasses (selection of 1 white and 1 red house wine). I never experienced such an awful service and even though food was OK, our evening in Antibes wa...
