"Le Bistro Pierre describe the Soirée Gastronomique menu as ‘These specially designed menus embrace all that’s great about dining in France – hearty and robust provincial cooking, great variety and outstanding value” . Well that all sounds quite promising. The first course was the “Soupe à l’oignon” described as ‘French onion soup with Gruyère croutons.’ This was some of the best French onion soup I have had for quite some time, I have a vague possible somewhat romantic memories of some that I ate in the falling snow on an Alpine slope some years ago, and thinking about it this may well have been it’s equal. try to eat this excellent cheap bistro, but the waiting snakes were out of the door. A pity that you can't reserve a table. it is first come first serve and the waiting zone is tiny.

Bistrot Pierre was offering 2 courses for £16.50 if you could dine before 1830. Everyone felt this was going to be the yummiest and cheapest option after we'd factored in a few glasses of wine. I secured the booking...

Excellent value Great food.. Best value for lunch in Notts by far. A simple french Bistro Menu executed well for a reasonable price. Friendly staff, great service. Reasonable winelist. Has won a number of awards locally. I go everytime I'm in town.

I was very surprised to find this central bistro. the place was full and I recommend to them to book a table before they are at their door. the staff was very friendly and careful to arrange the table after every meal to ask them for more drinks, I was very impressed by them. the eating was good, the aromen were before place, the only negative note is that the bark was overcooked, also for a slowly cooked dish, was somehow mudy strange texture here and there. the sorbet was fantastic and I recommend to go for it.

I wasn't as long as I last went, it was just not as it was before. this trip was wonderful. I went with my favorite (pork medallions) and a few sides, and the quality, taste and the amount of food was phenomenal. the price for what they get is more than reasonable for the experience and aromen. the service was delightful and it made the time there excellently spent. I'll go back soon to taste other delicious dishes. my only little handle is that the roasted garlic lamp was taken from the menu, which was a favorite of me, but that gives just more reason to try new things.
