"This little restaurant is an absolute favorite with local seafood lovers, some are there every day! I am lucky enough to live above this excellent restaurant. The fish and seafood are as fresh as it gets - I fear that I'd know all about it if it wasn't! Le Zinc de Clovis is one of three supremely good restaurants in rue des Prouvaires, a very short street between rue Saint Honoré and rue Berger in the 1st Arrondissement and overlooking the great church of Saint Eustache at Les Halles. This is a wonderful area to visit, right on the western edge of the famous Marais district - a Jewish area and so mostly open on Sundays - which, importantly Zinc de Clovis is not, and not on Mondays. There is very good reason for this Didier the manager is "méticuleusement" careful about the quality of his raw fish, it comes directly from fishermen on the coast and not Rungis. This is RARE, and accounts for his family of daily regulars eating the very best of fish, oysters and shellfish. I will be open about this and tell you that Dedier is a charming, funny man who has proven to be a very kindly good friend. I've put off reviewing his restaurant simply because of that, but have now decided that I was wrong as the restaurant is absolutely as good as I say, and in anycase you'll enjoy Didier too. His wines match the very high quality of his food. Don't hesitate to ask his advice, he is not the sort to recommend the most expensive wine."

Just perfect... I don't know any other place in Paris (neither in France) where you can eat oysters (excellent) and an entire dorade (cuite to perfection) for 25€!!! Simple but delicious.

Didier is perfect as he serves you. I love the knives in the plancha! I like to send him to pick us up from the side of the street or a rum baba in the friends restaurants of the street. Don't talk too much about it.

Excellent welcome to Clovis Zinc, simple and friendly. A card full of seafood and fish, no meat here but you have the louchébem at 2m! The knives are to fall and, if there was an arrival, make you a big pleasure with a Brittany lobster... Not given but delicious. Map of very simple but very honest wines. A very good address in this beautiful street of this no less beautiful neighborhood...

When in Paris, every year for the past few years, we make it a must to visit this restaurant. It is a small restaurant and we love the personal service (the chef/owner is very helpful with the menu & the wines) and we love the food. We delight in the freshness & the large choice of the oysters and my personal favorite entree is the scallops. For anything seafood (& there is a large choice) Le Zinc de Clovis is excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and the service is very good. Highly recommend!
