"We would not have found this place if not for seeing it on trip advisor. The entrance is down an side road and not that obvious. The restaurant is down some steps in the basement of a large building. It feels like your sitting in...some medieval castle with huge stone pillars and old wooden beams. The restaurant was busy, but the majority of the patrons were locals. The staff were friendly but didn't speak much English but we managed with the help of one English menu. Three of us had scallops with chorizo to start and one had a local cold meat selection, all very tasty. For mains one of had duck another had a meat stew of some kind and two of us had THE burger. the burger was the best burger both of us have ever had!!! It came with sweet potato fries which themselves were heavenly. The burger was in an onion bread roll with crispy bacon, cheese and barbecue sauce. It was like no burger I've had before. Once you buy into the meat has a pink colour but not because it was undercooked. I can only assume it's something to do with the way they prepare the burger. The whole thing melted in your mouth and the flavoured all worked so well. We both agreed it was well worth the €20.80 it costs. I'm pretty sure the other guys enjoyed their mains but I was too busy enjoying my burger to notice really. For desert I had the chocolate mousse which again was very tasty. You could taste the bitter chocolate and it was lovely and smooth. All in all a cracking restaurant GO FOR THE BURGER!!!"

amazing wood structure in restaurant room. nice starter with efficient service. well-structured lamb flour, with balanced sauce. limited choice as proof of quality, sweet and light crème brulee. honest spaetburgunder red wine beating with lamb.

With a great support of staff I've organised a really nice surprise birthday dinner. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Music acoustics was just fine, so we were able to have a calm conversation. The food was very good and service was super friendly....I really recommend this place in the heart of the city. the restaurant is a slow eating, near the dome in a next street. the building is a historical building and worked earlier than granat. old and thick wooden bouquets with high ceilings on 2 levels. the service is fast...and friendly. they bake their own French bread: it tastes hearty and tight; no bread crumbs! we ordered for the appetiser calamaretti (herbal and for main dishes jakobsmuschel and rindelfiletspitze all made for perfection!

Schweinshaxe and similar touristic meals will probably never turn up on the menu of this gem. Rather hidden in a small street outside the core of the touristic center this restaurant offered a special fish meal for Good Friday and heaps of somewhat traditional, but...still inspired dishes. We were very positively surprised by the quality of the food and the hospitality of the waiters. A good place to dine under a ceiling made of massive vaults. View menu

my vegeterian woman I have suitable restaurants for our first evening in regensburg on the track emptyer bag. a typically slower Monday the room had occupied less than 50%. this added to the rest of the personal service guaranteed....The personal could not be more helpful guided by the options on the extensive menu. the food, the service, the wine, the beer and the free smoked aalstarter ensured an unforgettable first evening in regensburg at a reasonable price. empty bags!

the restaurant has a large indoor area and some tables outside. it was a nice evening, so we sat outside. the clientel was mainly German, which is a good indicator. our waitress worked very hard to make it a pleasant culinary experience. she could find English menus for us and was very attentive. the kitchen sent a chef Beetroot and some fresh olive oil bread. we ordered the filled Calamari star who was very tasty. I then had all the fish that was pleasant, but not delicious. my wife enjoyed the spinach dumplings with mushroom sauce and salat.
