"beautiful place with two atmospheres the one very well renovated in an elegant and rafted style and other more in its juice of the 1980s (a pleasant return in the past for me this served by a very professional charming lady who manages her room and her guests as a chef. a refined cuisine, reflected with fresh products. "a restaurant where the setting and service are not at the level of the kitchen. in this room that hides badly that the last deep renovation has to date from the 1960s, one has the feeling of an aging institution. the customers, very old for this summer lunch, reinforces this sense of truth. If in addition you have the misfortune to be placed between the cash register, the toilets (where there is a blister on two) and the kitchen, under a ceiling nailed to the antédiluven luminaires, you will enjoy a moment rythmated by the noises of mixer, dishes, cutlery, exchanges between the kitchen and the room staff. Indeed, one of the waitresses is clearly disturbed by the fact that every time the kitchen door is pushed, and prefers to open it. at its discharge, the door, old, seems heavy and unsuitable for the demands of the service. but the customer does not want to have lunch in a star in the kitchen noises! So yes, the prices are fairly low, which makes the michelin star accessible, but it is not at the level of refinement and overall quality of the experience that can be expected in this type of establishment. I still put 4 stars because the dishes are of quality and the ratio quality price, very satisfying. as to the venetian character, he can have his share of charm."

"The Rouge Noir restaurant welcomed me with a big smile and lots of attention throughout the meal, despite my late arrival. I was pampered, and the service was ultra fast. Maybe it was the privilege of being the last customer? The dish was perfectly mastered: perfect sea bass cooking and seasoning. Obviously, for dessert I saw the words “chocolate” then “Valrhona” and I fell for it. Very good but a little expensive (12€ . In short, a great experience, in a very pleasant setting as well."

"Finding Les Platanes de Chenas takes a little effort but it will be well rewarded when you get there. A dining room with a stunning view over the Beaujolais vineyards is only the start. The menu is just excellent, service is professional and pleasant, and the wine list is what you'd expect. We had an amuse bouche of creme brulee with fois gras an unusual combination on paper but excellent in actuality. Starters of chestnut soup, lobster, and rabbit terraine were all very good as were the mains of char, steak, and lamb. Cheese was very good too with a special mention for the camembert with pepper. Desserts were good too. And the bill was EUR230 for 4, including two bottles of excellent local wine and two bottles of water. Worth a visit if you are in the locality."
