"At each pass to the Clusaz, we go to this restaurant, the reception is always nice and the atmosphere really nice. We were 8 with raclettes at will and a fondue, we were served quickly but we had time to eat. Thanks for the advice of the digeo firette for my colleagues, being in dry January I did not crack despite their insistence. So I will come back to taste it. I recommend without hesitation, we had a great evening."

Very nice restaurant! Nevertheless the raclette that was delicious is served in a fairly old and a little defective device. The pasta is delicious.

Last restaurant of the week. They were full, but they wanted to take us a little later. Top service, top meal. I recommend if you come to La Clusaz!!!

Bonne disponibilité et gentillesse du personnel malgré le restaurant complet. Nous avons commandé une assiette complète "Alpage", excellente, composée de produits locaux. De bons desserts également. Vu le succès, vaut mieux réserver. View menu

The Outa is a restaurant in which I came to eat being small with my grandparents. The dishes are of quality and are delicious! All staff are pleasant and professional. An atmosphere like you love them. We ate there again this week and left delighted.

Excellent moment in this superb restaurant, everything we expect from a mountain restaurant. First off with prices, totally justified once the plate in front of you, just sublime and delicious!! A warm and human service, a great bravo and a great thank you for this moment in your establishment.

"My wife and I visited La Maison des Bois for lunch during a skiing trip to La Clusaz, our expectations were very high but the experience exceeded our expectations! We had the 10 course lunch menu which come at EUR 295 pp with wine pairings, Yes its quite steep but in our opinion worth every EUR (and you can probably skip dinner like we did after this 4½ hour fabulous lunch!) All courses tasteful and very different in style, I would name the trout caviar with an iced cream of herbes as the most outstanding together with "a walk in the woods" commented by Marc Veyrat with our eyes closed ...! Be careful to save some appetite for your own selection of mostly local homemade savoir cheeses from the extensive cheese table and outstanding deserts! Wine parings matched the food well, both whites and the red very good locally grown wines, we liked especially the red 2006 vintage, that reminded me of Rhone - spec. the Grenache grape. The wine list gives you all the possibilities you could wish for in selecting great French wines for an extraordinaire meal including DRC Romanée- Conti, Ch. Petrus and ... Make sure to peek through the glass in the floor when having appetizers on the ground floor ... ... This is truly an amazing restaurant like no one else we have visited, with tasteful innovative food, a nice view to the slopes at Manigod and an overall overwhelming experience, orchestrated by Marc Veyrat and his team."

"Found this little place having walked away from one of those dreadful restaurants, where you arrive and the place is empty, and the snotty receptionist asks 'do you have a reservation? ' Instant put off in this day and age. So we walked. I treated a friend to supper, as she is going through a tough time, and it was the perfect choice. One tip, don 't be seduced by the first photo with the fire. We actually didn 't dress as warmly as we might have because we thought a fire in a small restaurant would be too hot. There isn 't one. But it is still lovely. Just dress with layers. The food menu is not large but it is really interesting and I have to say the food was fresh and a mixture of healthy, modern and delicious. The wine menu is also very good with something for everyone. The service was brilliant and the chap was so lovely and friendly he even told me my broken french was really good; Bless him. Left him a big tip. So to start, I had ceviche of three fish salmon, trout and (I should remember but don 't ; but it was exquisite see the photo. My friend had fresh home made butternut squash soup which was delicious as I helped her finish it off. For mains Sue had Tartiflette al la anciene (without cream and meat and had a small plank of ham as an accompaniement. I opted for a salad with chicken livers which wsa delicious. We shared a chef special for pud Coque aux Fruits which was like a think chocolate cup filled with exotic fruit and lime and it was really scrummy. Will def go back. Would probably share a starter as well as pud as they are a good size."
