"During our unforgettable holiday in Italy, my Fience and I stumbled upon an absolute culinary gem in the charming coastal town of Barletta: Lupo di Mare Seafood Restaurant. Nestled by the glistening waters of the Adriatic Sea, this dining haven offered an exquisite dining experience that left an indelible mark on our palates and hearts. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the restaurant's warm and welcoming ambiance. The rustic yet elegant décor, reminiscent of a classic Italian trattoria, instantly transported us to a realm of authentic coastal dining. The staff's genuine smiles and attentive service further enhanced the welcoming atmosphere, making us feel like cherished guests. Now, let's talk about the real star of the show – the food. As self-proclaimed seafood enthusiasts, we were treated to a gastronomic journey that exceeded our wildest expectations. The menu was a treasure trove of fresh catches, each dish promising an explosion of flavors that celebrated the sea's bounty. The main courses were where Lupo di Mare truly shone. The catch of the day, simply prepared and cooked to perfection, showcased the essence of the restaurant's commitment to sourcing the freshest ingredients. Each dish seemed to tell a story of the sea and the skilled hands that transformed its treasures into edible works of art. Our evening at Lupo di Mare was more than just a meal; it was a symphony of flavors, a celebration of Italy's coastal heritage, and a testament to the dedication of the restaurant's culinary artisans. In a country renowned for its cuisine, Lupo di Mare Seafood Restaurant stands as a shining star, a culinary haven where the sea's offerings are elevated to new heights of excellence. If you find yourself in Barletta, this dining establishment is an absolute must-visit – an oasis of flavor that will undoubtedly become the highlight of your Italian holiday, just as it did for ours."

Il locale è molto bello, personale cortese e preparato. Cibo eccellente, in particolare i frutti di mare crudi e la cheesecake.

I've been there with some friends, the location is rough and the hospitality quite poor. As the hospitality even the main dishes were poor in quality. For sure I cannot suggest it.

Me and my boyfriend are not italian speakers and the waitress poorly understood what we wanted. Instead of serving us a plate of pasta and a plate of grilled octopus she brought us 2 plates of pasta and one plate of octopus. The water(not from stores) is 1.5€ and the serving and bread another 2€. Overall, the food is delicious and fresh, but the serving is not quite good regarding the fact that most of the clients were foreigners.

"This has to be one of the worst restaurant experiences I 've had in many years not the food, but the service and the attempt to cover serious mistakes. We arrived at 8:30 for our reservation and were the only people in the place. We ordered a bottle of water and I selected a local white wine from the menu. When the served appeared, she explained that they didn 't have the wine I wanted, but had one just as good . OK, the substitution seemed fine and tasting quite good. No problem. Our appetizers arrived a short time later and we began the meal. My wife 's appetizer was fine, but mine grilled cuttle fish lacked something. I remembered that it was supposed to be paired with lobster. But there was nothing resembling lobster on the plate. Besides, the cuttle fish was tough as shoe leather. Clearly vastly over cooked. I summoned the server and explained. After consulting the menu she said, The chef forgot . Really? The chef forgot a major ingredient in one of his own creations? I promptly sent the dish back and ordered something else. This time I ordered a pasta dish with sea bream and hazelnut sauce from the menu. At this point, the restaurant was filling up. Eight or ten people were seated at different tables and they began to order. One by one, their orders came out of the kitchen. But not mine, Two tables finished their meals and left. I was still waiting. Then, after 45 minutes, my pasta arrived with no apology or comment. But wait, there 's more. The pasta didn 't have Sea Bream at all. Instead it had shrimp and cavatelli (not what I 'd ordered). I asked for the check and we left. A final note. My wife noticed that all of the other tables were given a platter of assorted appetizers immediately upon being seated. We were never offered or given such a platter. I guess they think Americans are there just to be given whatever **** they have on hand. There was something seriously wrong at this restaurant and I believe they just didn 't want to admit the chef was sick, or had quit, or died. We had tried to go there the night before and there was a sign on the door that that had unexpectedly needed to close on a night they were usually open. We should have taken the hint!!!! Save your money. This 60Euro meal wasn 't worth our time or money .. STAY AWAY. GO TO ONE OF THE MANY FINE RESTAURANTS IN BARLETTA (CHECK MY REVIEWS FOR SUGGESTIONS)"
