"This is my favorite restaurant in barletta, Whenever i come to barletta, i always eat here, sometimes every day. The ambience is great, the staff is friendly, and the owner even more so. I've been to Kaori on every trip I've made to the Bari/Puglia area, and it has never disappointed me, on the contrary, it has ruined sushi for me in the rest of Europe. I literally can't eat sushi in the netherlands anymore, even our best local sushi restaurant tastes like supermarket sushi after eating at Kaori. Domenico thank you for this experience."

"This has to be one of the worst restaurant experiences I 've had in many years not the food, but the service and the attempt to cover serious mistakes. We arrived at 8:30 for our reservation and were the only people in the place. We ordered a bottle of water and I selected a local white wine from the menu. When the served appeared, she explained that they didn 't have the wine I wanted, but had one just as good . OK, the substitution seemed fine and tasting quite good. No problem. Our appetizers arrived a short time later and we began the meal. My wife 's appetizer was fine, but mine grilled cuttle fish lacked something. I remembered that it was supposed to be paired with lobster. But there was nothing resembling lobster on the plate. Besides, the cuttle fish was tough as shoe leather. Clearly vastly over cooked. I summoned the server and explained. After consulting the menu she said, The chef forgot . Really? The chef forgot a major ingredient in one of his own creations? I promptly sent the dish back and ordered something else. This time I ordered a pasta dish with sea bream and hazelnut sauce from the menu. At this point, the restaurant was filling up. Eight or ten people were seated at different tables and they began to order. One by one, their orders came out of the kitchen. But not mine, Two tables finished their meals and left. I was still waiting. Then, after 45 minutes, my pasta arrived with no apology or comment. But wait, there 's more. The pasta didn 't have Sea Bream at all. Instead it had shrimp and cavatelli (not what I 'd ordered). I asked for the check and we left. A final note. My wife noticed that all of the other tables were given a platter of assorted appetizers immediately upon being seated. We were never offered or given such a platter. I guess they think Americans are there just to be given whatever **** they have on hand. There was something seriously wrong at this restaurant and I believe they just didn 't want to admit the chef was sick, or had quit, or died. We had tried to go there the night before and there was a sign on the door that that had unexpectedly needed to close on a night they were usually open. We should have taken the hint!!!! Save your money. This 60Euro meal wasn 't worth our time or money .. STAY AWAY. GO TO ONE OF THE MANY FINE RESTAURANTS IN BARLETTA (CHECK MY REVIEWS FOR SUGGESTIONS)"
