"My wife and I met in this pub nearly 40 years ago, so we’re looking forward to the visit. Sadly, however, it was a disastrous Sunday lunch. The whitebait starter was nice but expected it to come on a plate with perhaps some nice salad garnish, rather than just in a bowl. To follow, I ordered the 3-roast lunch and my wife ordered the roast turkey. Mine arrived with just turkey, no pork or beef and my wife’s was missing the chipolata sausages. Although the staff were very apologetic and went to get the missing items, we found the rest of the food to be lukewarm at best, very thin gravy and what should have been roast potatoes were actually baby potatoes which had been baked. Again the staff were very apologetic but we decided to leave. Apparently the chef was new so we’d like to give it another go sometime."

"We got married here on the 25th November, The Hundred House Tithe Barn was a perfect location for our fabulous day. Gemma (wedding Manager) is great, she gave us all the advice and help we needed to make our day special and one to remember. All of our guests commented on how well the day was organised and how delicious the food was, we chose Sausage Mash and Chocolate Brownie for dessert, it really was tasty and excellent service by the whole team. All the food was hot, considering they had to serve 103 guests!!Bacon baps went down a treat too, especially after all the dancing and prosecco. We also chose to have a naked sponge cake made by Hundred House, again this was so tasty, and looked amazing. We really would recommend The Hundred House if you are looking for a perfect place for your special day. We want to do it all over again. Thank you everyone xx"

"The Mason's Arms was just across the road from where we were staying. At first sight it just seems to be a straightforward village pub, and our expections for dinner were fairly low. But how wrong we were!!! The bar areas are very welcoming and in that sense it is a very traditional cosy English pub .. and there is good choice of beers and wines etc. But the food was wonderful. We chose from teh Special menu which clearly included dishes that bwere favourities of teh Chef Lucianna. We started with Black Pudding and Haggis Fritters. There were great tasing and very crispy and light. For mains we had the Salmon and Prawn on pasta with a Lobster Bisque, and the crispy chickern tenders with a gentle chilli sauce. again with psts. They were wonderful meals. Prices are also very reasonable. Great place to eat!!!!"

"WE stopped off here for a latish lunch , we waited quite a while for a member of staff to take our order, plus we had asked to be seated at a different part of the cafe as it was near the door and drafty, but were told no tables available but we could see a few at the back. When our order came we were disappointed in the beef sandwich, very little beef and no butter or spread on the bread, but quite a lot of unnecessary side salad. We also feel the prices were high for the venue and the actual food on offer, we wont be visiting again"

"I recently enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant, as I always do. I'm not sure what the one negative review from a few days ago was talking about - I wonder if they went to the wrong place! This restaurant is never dirty, the service is excellent, the manager is efficient, and the waitresses are delightful. The portion sizes are very generous, I always struggle to finish my meal. The staff all wear matching Red Cow t-shirts, giving the place a more upscale look compared to other pub food venues. They have recently started opening for drinks on Mondays and Tuesdays, offering free bar snacks which is a great perk for local customers. They also have live music on some Sundays, which I haven't experienced yet but I am looking forward to it. Overall, I am very impressed with this restaurant and I hope they continue to maintain their great staff, amazing chef, and welcoming atmosphere."
