"Didn’t fancy cooking so popped in for an impromptu supper. Quiet not much atmosphere in restaurant but bar was buzzing. Very friendly staff food arrived quickly and was all good. Gammon egg and chips thoroughly enjoyed. I had veggie option wild mushroom and brie wellington excellent perhaps being critical a mushroom sauce would be a nice accompaniment. Excellent though we will return."

We had a meal with friends on Sunday afternoon. The food was amazing, beautiful roast potatoes, parsnips and the meat which was beef just melted in your mouth. I'd recommend the new in to anyone. Thanks for a lovely afternoon

Had a lovely meal this evening. Called in following a recommendation saying how good the food was and they were right. My husband had the mixed grill and said it was the best he had ever had. Staff extremely nice and friendly as were the locals.

This restaurant has a charming family atmosphere. The food is delicious and feels like a home-cooked meal. The manager and staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back next year. Thank you again! View menu

Fabulous meal as usual. Great service and wine. Been here a few times and cannot fault the quality of the the food and service. I am forever late in arriving but they are very patient . Fabulous meal last sand today. Definitely making the journey again and again.

wonderful Sunday dinner and the crumb was easy to die. great reception and service. we often enjoyed our visit. the garden is very pleasant and the underground is fascinating to see from the far away! I hope you had a good 2 days break, we look forward to dinner tonight!
