"The North Sea Fish is more of a take away with a restaurant attached, than the other way around. As you walk into the restaurant side you feel you are in a 1950's seaside hotel. The deep red carpet and wooden bar in the middle all add to this walk back in time feel I got. It's an odd experience. It became pretty apparent that the restaurant caters for tourists more than locals, due to its vicinity to a myriad of hotels and the stations nearby. The chippie on the other hand seemed to be full of locals. The menu is extensive and pretty **** pricey. £12 average price for cod and chips, and for a few quid more you could go jumbo. I'd hate to think how big jumbo was, as the medium was massive. The waitress made some signs that in other circumstances would have been embarrassing. I do love the laminated place mats of different types of fish. Sadly we both had ray on ours, but I do now know how to pronounce in several European languages. This could come in very handy if I am in Russia and"

Great Fish and Chips in pub lite atmosphere. Went in for food and had a pub;ite atmosphere but much more a restaurant and extremely good fish and chips. We asked the waiter for recommendations and he never steered us wrong. We enjoyed the dinner

Honestly, in my opinion this place does the best takeaway chips in Central London. Generous portions. Is divided into an eat in and a takeaway shop with different entrances. A large portion of chips from here will surely do for the rest of the evening. The place also good saveloy and sausage in a batter. Was always a favourite place of mine throughout my childhood. This is fish and chips, served in a nice sit down restaurant. A fantastic piece of cod, firm and flaky, with a delightful crispy batter. And the chips? Delicious crisp and hot and a beautiful texture. But what I liked was the tartar sauce, thick and chunky and served in a ramekin, along with ketchup. If you’re going to spend any time searching for the best fish and chips in London, add this to your list.

Off the Beaten Path, And Worth It. I was determined on my most recent trip to London to have excellent fish and chips take away, and North Sea delivered. It had no pretense, it was on a quiet street in Bloomsbury, away from hordes of people, and it is situated near several lovely parks where you can sit on a bench and indulge in some of the best fried, freshest haddock or cod around. I loved the chips, too--just crispy enough to hold up to the vinegar, but nonetheless mealy and creamy on the inside. The price was as reasonable as other fish and chips in London--but no food in London I find seems to be a bargain if you are exchanging US dollars.
