"This was our first visit to Olivia’s for lunch with friends. It was sunny but blustery and our table had nice views of the sea in the distance. The waiters were very courteous and attentive. We chose the set lunch which offered a good choice and value. We had calamares and smoked salmon to start, nicely served and delicious, followed by Olivia’s fish and chips and beef medallions, also great, with sorbet and cheesecake for desserts. Again all nicely served. The singer was good but at times slightly over powering. The restaurant wasn’t too busy but guess it’s buzzing at night. The location is good close to the beach and sea, and it didn’t rain! Would recommend. "

Fantastic restaurant with excellent service. We celebrated my husbands birthday and the staff arranged a complimentary brownie for him with sparkles and ice cream for the kids. Lovely.

I was a tiny bit disappointed with the food. Having been a big supporter of Steven Saunders in the past, we were expecting great things. Maybe we just didn’t pick the right meal. I’d definitely try it again. The service was very good and the atmosphere is also excellent.

Have been to Olivias a few times and had no issues, however on valentines night I was waiting over an hour for every drink order to arrive at our table and having been within from for drinks with our food booked for we didn’t get our starter until and this was only after complaining. It appeared we were forgotten about and there was a staff shortage on a busy night. The food was good when it did arrive and the singer was decent too. Just a shame about the wait for food and drinks.

We had a wonderful evening in Olivias La Cala, the employees consistently checked that we were happy and went beyond and beyond for our children. The whole experience was beautiful and I can't expect to be in Spain next time. The food was perfect and the view is beautiful. My daughter drew a picture for one of the beautiful waitresses and when she gave it to her when we left the waitress, made such an effort and brought her to the kitchen to show everyone... my daughter is still talking about it. Thank you

"After three years absence we’re back visiting the parents and traditional first night meal is always at the sheriffs. A short walk from where we stay and an staggering distance home. Firstborn has been dreaming about the onion soup starter since our last visit, from all accounts it didn’t disappoint. Spouse had the croquettes and I had a roasted pepper salad, both excellent. Second born had bread and butter slathered in alioli and still smelt delightful the next day. Dad inhaled the mussels; ‘very good’ while experimental mum had garlic bread. I didn’t ask how that was, it’s garlic bread. My mains was a pork Skewer chips and salad. I felt like Zorro, it was a **** sword. Excellent though. Spouse’s garlic chicken was ‘ok, not enough sauce’. Kids had a margarita pizza each which was ok but as firstborn said ‘you go to sheriffs for the soup, not pizza’. Mum had an ok lasagne (bit runny) and dad a peppered steak. No puds as they stopped the crème Catalan a few years ago. Spouse was fuming. They need to bring that back as it was banging. Then I had an Irish coffee which was aces. Sent me spinning which didn’t bode well as then the after meal schnapps came out and no one but me wanted them. In fact mum and spouse sent the poor guy back for their favoured caramel vodka. So I had three shots of peach schnapps (and it wasn’t the archers variety folks) and two of apple. As firstborn pointed out, ‘you don’t need to drink them dad’. So? Fight me. A triumphant return with minor niggles and looking forward to our return."
