Amazing food, cocktails and service on a busy Sunday afternoon! The wait staff were very accommodating, even when we hadn’t booked a table in advance. 10/10 recommend!

I have not stayed at this restaurant, but the food is fantastic. The mussels, chicken satay skewers, and Cullen skink are all incredibly delicious and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a lunch spot. The rooms, service, and location all receive a perfect score of 5.

We stayed in a comfortable and spacious room upstairs at the hotel. The bathroom was a bit small but functional. The dinner was delicious and priced at £10 for 2 courses. It's been a while since I've been here, but I'm pleased to see that the standards are still top-notch. Well done to the managers for the excellent bar service - I rarely see better anywhere else. The bar staff are always attentive and friendly, constantly looking to serve the customers. Overall, I would rate the service and location a 5 out of 5.

We decided to have an early dinner at this restaurant when we saw they had a new set menu offering 2 courses for £15. Despite it being only 5:30, the place was already busy with several diners. I opted for the mussels in white wine and cream (you could also have them with a tomato sauce) with garlic bread, and they were absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed the chicken satay, which came with a seriously peanutty sauce on a couple of skewers. For our main courses, he had the fish and chips with peas, and I chose the sticky chilli chicken. Both dishes were very good. Overall, it was great value for money and we definitely plan on returning in the future.

Booked for 6pm on Sunday 11 Dec for dinner first visit since lockdown used to come here regularly socially/family occasions. Don’t know what has happened.? The young staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered a sirloin steak medium with chunky chips and pepper sauce sauce and chips now extra. However, we were informed that they had run out of hand cut chips said I wasn’t in a hurry and could wait for them to be made server made it clear this was not an option but could have some nice mash!
