Parker's Tavern - Menu

Went for a cocktail. Decor lovely. Cocktail was either poorly balanced or lacked all the ingredients as could only taste lime and not the Cointreau , maraschino or rhubarb as listed

Was served by Sean who could not do enough to make my lunch comfortable. The other bar staff Ricardo and another charming gent were also very welcoming. The front of house staff were very accommodating too.

The staff at this restaurant were amazing! We had to leave for work half an hour before breakfast started, but the staff and chef went above and beyond by arriving early to make sure we had a hot meal. The English breakfast they prepared was delicious. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Absolutely delicious food and impeccable service. Floris was an excellent host and attentive waiter. His attention to detail was spot on and his recommendation of the venison was perfect. All the food was piping hot, full of flavour and the wine was nicely chilled. The surprise Happy Anniversary chocolate truffles were a really nice touch. A lovely atmosphere and great setting for a celebration.

Lovely afternoon tea here. Seated in the bar instead of the library this time but it was still good. The food was very nice and an extra plate of sandwiches was no trouble (at no extra price). I must mention our server, Sean. He was very professional and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our afternoon. Excellent customer service from Sean. I’m looking forward to a return visit already.

The quality of the food at this restaurant is very poor. I had dined there before and it was acceptable, but I would not recommend it now. The service was also lacking. They served a steak tartare that seemed to be just steak pressed through a sausage grinder without any seasoning. It was probably the worst steak tartare I have ever seen or attempted to eat. This was followed by a pollock dish that tasted like nothing at all, served with dry potatoes. Something has gone awry with the restaurant or the chef. It's unfortunate because the venue is nice and in a great location.

This violates the 2010 Equality Act which requires accessibility for partially sighted individuals. 2. The menu lacked vegetarian main courses, making it outdated. 3. The fish of the day was only available for two people, not accommodating for solo business travelers. 4. The Cauliflower Soup lacked flavor without the roasted pig skin. 5. The Celeriac Noodles with Mushrooms was tasteless and overpriced. 6. The cocktails menu was also difficult to read due to small font size. 7. The cheeseboard was disappointing. 8. The bathroom floor tiles were dangerously slip...

We have been to this stunning hotel and restaurant several times before with equal alternate good and bad experiences. This time I felt I needed to address the issue of consistency and put together a review. On this occasion we were celebrating an 80th birthday. I had the chargrilled sirloin steak which half way through the meal I had given up trying to cut this tough and chewy piece of meat. My wife and mother-in-law had chosen the pollock where the sorrel butter sauce was so over salted and ruined the enjoyment of the fish. We then ordered desert and then coffee to follow. After waiting a while we had only received the coffees, and had to ask a second waiter to remind the first to remember...
