"Sorry, but this place 's standards have slipped a lot. The food is good but...it 's not exactly plentiful, the prices are sky-high and the delivery not quite what you 'd expect. We ordered two mains: one Pad Cha King Prawn which promised to come with green peppercorns, a spicy sauce and baby aubergines. The other was sliced duck in a tamarind sace. Oh dear. Six sliced of duck in a (very good) tamarind sauce is not worth £16 any day of the week, and the Pad Cha king prawn dish noticeably came without the baby aubergines, which was the reason we ordered it in the first place. We asked for an explanation and were told that 'they didn 't have any ', which wasn 't really an answer. To be fair, they did say 'sorry ' but didn 't offer anything else such as a discount for not delivering what they promised, whch was not just useless, bust also vaguely insulting, as though we should be grateful we got anything at all. To make matters worse, when the bill rocked up not only was it (expectedly) high, but the waitress also had the gall to tell me how to add a tip. Like I was going to... The Miang starter was excellent (though also very slight in portion) and the wine list decent, if also monstrously over-priced. You actually have to pay £1.35 for a dish of about ten prawn crackers and bottled sweet chilli sauce, which is incredible: most other Thai restaurants have this on the table. I think this place fancies itself as Thai fine dining: they really have to shape up their ideas. Their service leaves quite a gap between their aspirations and their delivery. Oh yes...and the staff were not wearing masks. COVID is still a thing, you know."

Avoid this restaurant by far the worst experience I have ever had. The manager is horrible with a terrible attitude and I'm shocked the restaurant is still in business.

I don’t eat Asian food often but having become intolerant to cows milk I thought I’d give it a try. Our dining companions had eaten here before and highly recommended it. Food quality, choices, presentation and flavours were outstanding. I’m a total convert to Thai food and looking forward to the next visit. Thank you!

Dainty portions of delicately prepared and presented food. Strangely underpowered in flavour. Which I suppose is fine if you like that sort of thing. But if you expect eating Thai food to be like being smacked in the mouth with a solid brick of intense flavour and heat then you may be somewhat disappointed with dining here.

Having come here since they opened many years ago, the food is consistently excellent. The owner Cindy runs a great team. She’s always in charge to make sure the quality and service is there. It’s been a fabulous local restaurant over the years. Cindy gives 100% to ensuring the best quality produce, cooking and service. Unfortunately, she’s leaving shortly. Leaving Edinburgh and moving away. A sad loss for us regulars. But wish her all the best in her new chapter of life with her husband Ian. Many thanks for the great food. X View menu

I had my husband call to make a reservation as we were a group of 6. I gave him the phone number listed. It never occurred to me that he would be calling a new place. We arrived expecting to eat Thai food. But to our surprise the Thai restaurant had permanently closed and in its place was a Vegan Vietnamese restaurant. We stayed being late and hungry. My husband normally doesn’t care for Vietnamese however we were all pleasantly surprised that a group of overall meat eaters enjoyed the meal. The new restaurant is called Sen Veit Vegan.

Recommended by friends we popped by on a rare child free night. Wish we had stayed home. A luke warm welcome should she be sent the arm bells off but we persevered. Mediocre satay with smiling servers belied the hand of hell the owner bestowed on these poor souls. Terrified out of their wits we saw bullying and fear in their eyes. Mediocre food that we should have left and despite its busiest feel left me cold beyond belief. It’s not ok to charge £60 for a couple of bowls of tasteless slop, abuse your staff in front of our eyes and think it’s ok. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I see many reviews here complaining of poor service. We certainly did not experience that at all. The Thai tradition does not entail effusive chatter and fake smiles. But what we got was a warm welcome and professional service without hassle or complaint. Our food was delicious and was prepared with a proper amount of spiciness. Dishes here trend toward the spicy end of the scale, where mild has some heat and medium might pass for hot in other places. This is not like many Asian restaurants that have menus that go on for days. The selections are well thought out and far fewer in number. The locals we were visiting highly recommended this place to us and we can see why. View menu

Arrived 5 minutes early... Was shown to seat no problem and the service was great. Service and staff good but the food mediocre at best. I had the battered monkfish in a coconut cream sauce... I don't know what I was thinking... Battered in a cream sauce... Clag on top of clag. The sauce too sweet and lacked no heat and there was zero sharpness to help balance the flavour. I'm also sure it wasn't monkfish either as it was painfully thin... Almost anemic in portion size. The crispy shallots on top were too few and not crispy at all. My wife had the sea bass with veggie and cashew nut... Hers was better but still lacked a good balance... The salt was over powering the tamarind lime sauce.. Ove...

I don’t usually take to writing reviews and I do like to support independent eateries but sadly I felt compelled to leave feedback about “the service” we received when we visited the recently. We went on a weekday evening, it was quiet. Think another table of a couple were and a couple of smaller tables also filled during the duration of our meal but it wasn’t busy. We were served by a waitress who made it very clear that she was the only waiting staff on that night and frankly her attitude stunk. So much so, my elderly mother leaned in after we ordered to make it clear that I was not to tip her a penny. The waitress seemed harassed and was impatient and her face just looked like she just di...
