"As has been pointed out by so many, this is a restaurant you have to know about because it's well hidden. I guess we all read the same review on Messy Nessy, of the 5 hidden gems in Paris.I was the first person to arrive for dinner, and a bit early (I'm American, I get hungry before most French people!) they begin service at 8pm. I was happy to sit in their adorably tiny dining room with a glass of wine. The restaurant filled within the first half hour. Dinner began with a wonderful amuse bouche of truffled pizza bites. Then, the Smoked Burata which was enough for 4 people but I pretty much devoured most of anyway. Just about the most heavenly cheese I've ever put in my mouth! Wonderfully rustic bread sticks! Then, the Risotto with asparagus, pancetta and Parmesan crisps. OMG! Sheer perfection! Dessert was a panna cotta limoncello. A refreshing finale to an unforgettable meal. I was there for almost 2 hours and I think they turned one table. I don't know how they survive but I hope they are around for a long time because I want to definitely revisit on a return trip. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Be sure to make reservations!"

A pretty awesome, hidden restaurant above a deli. Squid ink risotto was different and definitely memorable.

My wife and I dined here at the end of our five day stay in ParisWe had an apartment on the same street so it was very convenient.

they called them today to make a reservation and heard that the restaurant is closed until 2. oktober. the deli is still open, so it stops there to get a delicious meal.

We made reservations weeks ago and looked forward to our visit for tonight. We also made some plans in the surroundings of the restaurant. The restaurant send us a reminder in the afternoon. Afterwards they cancelled the appointment by text message without any reason. Disappointing...and far from polite! View menu

I have been a Pastavino sandwich fan from the deli downstairs for 20+ years, and went to the restaurant for the first time last week. I had read great reviews on TA, and was absolutely wowed by the quality, the warm service, and the simple...romantic charm of this place. I am hesitant to review this, as I want to be able to get a reservation upon my next return to Paris. (went twice in one week!

A friend shared an internet story on the "5 Secret Restaurants in Paris" so we went in search of this St Germaine gem. You would never know it was there, hidden via a narrow staircase at the back of a little deli. We loved L’Etage de Pastavino and the waiter explained all of the Italian menu to us in English (although I wish they had printed a menu in English because there was too much to remember when making a decision). It truly is Saint Germain’s best-kept secret, we had a great night. View menu

It's an old address, almost an institution. the restaurant remains headed by the family; Maybe little kids! this says, it's always very good, we appreciate the rdc, the catererer with very good paninis! upstairs, restaurant service, with some tables; It is small but friendly! For the restaurant, the dishes are always succulent, the service is top! 2 very friendly boys at the service! A small flat is the relatively expensive price; We recommend this restaurant for the quality of its products and services.

shortly after pastavino opened a tiny restaurant in the upper floor of her modest bottega, it was shown in an eclectic pariser blog, messy nessy, in a post over hidden restaurants of paris (to reach L’Etage, they need to climb an unnoticed staircase on the back of the food)....We visited 2013, suffixed past the staggering regular where we have returned this week with loving memories and high expectations. we were not disappointed. six years later, L’Etage is the same precious stone with which we fell in love. with only six small tables it is more than restaurant. two gracious (and graceful) server feel like new friends, time table page to present the Italian menu with the proud of the garden...
