"My dad worked for a number of years for a German company, and loved coming to Bavaria for the delicious food. We were visiting Ludwigsburg for the weekend, and took a chance with this place. It was exactly what he wanted. The schnitzel was thinly sliced, perfectly tender, and came bathed in a perfect sauce. Adding fresh cream and lemon juice to that had us in disbelief. That's how good it was. They also had a very nice salad to give us with our meal, that I didn't think I'd like because potato salad was underneath it. Sounds weird, but was delicious. It was finely chopped, with very finely diced potato, egg, cream, bread, and spices. It was unlike any other potato salad I've had since moving to Germany. The icing on the cake was that they had my dad's favorite Trollinger wine. He really enjoyed it. We were also really pleased with our waiter, as he provided exceptional service. We would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for gourmet German food. It's worth the slightly high prices because of the quality and service!"

peter bühl is the chief and the best in this opposite. I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and have always been a great food! great service and.

Posh restaurant, quiet. A sharp contrast to the noisy German beer halls. Popular place, needs reservations to get a table. Impeccable service. Food is faultless with great little touches. Portions generous. View menu

Over 1 1/4 hour wait for lunch. And when this was brought to the waiters attention he snapped that was because appetizers were ordered. Never apologized or made an effort to find out why there was such a long wait.

carefully formulated: there is an emotion. the Swabian specialties were made warm within 10 minutes on the table. probably in the microwave. a place that doesn't really convince me. You can try, but you don't have to.

On a wet and windy day, found the place with difficulty( recommended by trip advisor) and were met with a hostess who was quite unfriendly So what if we were tourists, she couldn't tell us when a table would be available or when whether we should return. Seems a little caught up with their success. View menu

This place was recommended to me by my hotel and by a couple I stopped to ask directions. I couldn't have been more pleased. It serves local Schwabien cuisine. Everything was great. The service was good, the food was great, the local beer was wunderbar. It's one block away from the old square in the center of town. I'm sure you'll be pleased that you go there.

What a meal. Got to say that I was already convinced by all the positive reviews but still surprised after my first (and definitely not last) visit. The old post office transformed into a old-style and comfortable restaurant with local food. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food creations.Swabian food with the slight difference to make it really special...Was für ein Essen.

"We celebrated the baptism of my daughter and chose a buffet. The company was very friendly on the outdoor terrace with an aperitif. The ambience was beautiful, summery and very welcoming. Large plants, light chains, beach basket, sand chairs and beautiful large summer umbrellas offer a lot of shade. The tables were large and beautiful decorated with beautiful large lilies. The GIG appetizer buffet was great. Large selection of typical Swabian dishes to Couscous various salads and antipasti. Then there were salmon with shrimps, rust roasts, croquettes, loins, rice and salt potatoes. For the children there were also bims with nuggets or carvings, the panade here was particularly delicious and crispy and tasted the children mega. Soooo delicious! Meat on point! Everyone was thrilled! To dessert Duo of Panna Cotta and Mousse au Chocolat with fruit. Between the corridors you can enjoy the sun terrace and relax with delicious cocktails, long drinks and scorpions, accompanied by beautiful but not disturbing chillout and Latin music. A beautiful and well maintained place with a bowling alley and several rooms overlooking the Neckar. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Dogs are also welcome and you can refresh yourself for a drink bar for dogs. We are very happy about our selection and are sure we will celebrate there again. Until a new occasion we visit the restaurant for dinner. The managing director Jack Khano was very friendly in the interview and we felt very well advised. We all felt comfortable and can recommend this restaurant for a meal, family or celebrations."
