Ratskeller - Menu

I was there today for a lunch while sightseeing in Augsburg. The atmosphere is really cozy and the food is traditional, good, and at reasonable prices

I was visiting a friend in Augsburg and he brought me here for a literal taste of the local flavor. It's located in the basement of the Augsburg Rathaus..

we had a nice meal in the ratskeller. good carving and pate. excellent beer too. service was really pleasant, let us feel very welcome. this is the place that makes Germany such a large land to visit

I went to dinner with my wife. the place was crowded, we had no reservation and had to wait for a minute to get a table. That was great. it has this loud typical bavarianic loudness, no music, just vote. they had not...port knuckle (they just ran out), but the other eating was good for a German.

This is a touristy place so I expect that at busy times service levels might falter, but we were a big group arriving quite late in the evening, and they looked after us very well indeed. The food and drink is typically Bavarian as you...would expect, but done to a good standard and not too expensive. We had a very enjoyable evening

to arrive sadly in bayern and to this place are guided through the hotel for “typical Bavarian cuisine” and find a menu with only the most obvious dressed and with a heavy hand dressed on sugar and salt. the environment in the town hall cellar is... sure interesting, but it didn't feel like a local hangout. our waiter was charming and efficient and very attentive to the dog who always wins a dog owner heart

A Bavarian restaurant underneath town hall. It's very nice inside, very modern and a good atmosphere. Unfortunately the food and service don't match the ambience. Service is very slow and inattentive and the food is standard Bavarian food, not done terribly well but for inflated...prices. They should invest as much time and effort in the menu and training of their staff as they do in the decor. Not recommended
