Had a lovely last minute booked meal. The food especially the chips was amazing. The 2 lads working that night were a credit to the pub. Even though the kitchen was shut one went out his way to ensure my friend and I got a pudding and my goodness, it was so worth it. Recommended dishes: Hand Cut Chips View menu

Popped in for lunch. Great choice of food. I chose jacket potato with tuna cheese. The potato was hot with a nice soft, fluffy centre. Side salad was crisp and fresh. The manager and bar staff were extremely friendly and chatty. What was originally a quick lunch turned out to be a 3hr visit. Will most definately visit again Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5

Good run of the mill food in a prime location of the beautiful Offley. Always seems to be in the middle of a long walk or ride! Front garden facing the road and parking spaces is a bit weird but the staff couldn't be friendlier and always quick to serve. Stopped off for a bit of lunch today while on a ride with my young son. Went to order some food at the bar, and was recommended a portion of freshly made quiche the chef had just made, served with chips and salad, at a reasonable price, which we had, and which was absolutely lovely! We visited today for lunch. The guy on the bar told us to choose a table and he came over and took our drinks order and gave us the lunch menu. Two had the fish and chips and my husband the scampi. One said the chips were a little hard. I had the hot chicken bacon salad. I had expected the chicken to be breast sliced and the bacon cut up. It arrived with 3 rashers of extremely crunchy bacon and chicken cut in like batons placed on top of the salad. The salad was fresh but it lacked the look of an attractive dish. Desserts ok but not home made. The pub is nicely decorated and everything clean. The food just let them down. We will not be returning.

The Sunday roast and overall dining experience at this restaurant was undoubtedly the worst I have ever had. The fact that my family and I were the only diners in the pub on a Sunday lunchtime should have been a red flag. Unfortunately, the quality of the food matched the empty dining room. The beef was overcooked and tough, the chicken was lukewarm, and the potatoes were clearly frozen and undercooked. The Yorkshire puddings were store-bought, which may have been a blessing in disguise considering the quality of the rest of the meal. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the waiter, but despite our complaints being passed on to the owner, no adjustment was made to the bill. I will definitely...

I booked a room for a wedding along the road and called ahead to explain that one member of our party was in a wheelchair and another had walking difficulties, so we needed ground floor rooms with accessible showers. However, we were not informed that the rooms were located in an old outside building instead of the pub itself. Upon arrival, we were shocked to find that the accommodation was not suitable for our group, as there were three steep stone steps with no support rails to access the rooms. One of our party actually fell while trying to navigate these steps, resulting in injuries to their ankle, knee, and head.
