"We visited in July and sat outside with a good view to the canal and the century salt warehouses. Our waitress was excellent and friendly. We had a “kleines” salad which was actually huge and tasty, along with the Antipasto plate, which was...also very good. The pizza Diavolo was cooked perfectly with a thin crispy crust and was delicious. Also had the pasta aglio olio which was average. The food is solidly good but not as great as you find in Italy, but the overall experience was excellent and we recommend. Also good value for the price"

God betjening og dejlig mad til den lille pengepung. Perfekt beliggenhed lige ved Lübeck byport og kanalen.

Lovely location with outdoor seating and very friendly service. The food, however, did not live up to the expectations

Stopped in for Sunday Pranzo on a chilly day. The staff was attentive and I enjoyed the food: bruschetta and Bolognese. Creme Brûlée was exceptional View menu

Was just there, very strange that the kitchen closes at and the opening times are till I think there is just very bad service and they are just to lazy to work..

It was a good experience and some nice food. Service and price were fine but a shame that they write that they can make most dishes as children dishes when they in fact can not or won't

I liked the place as it was next to the river and served a decent pizza which were nothing special but good. Staff was okey, not great but did their work. Nice place but got room for improvement View menu

The location is superb. The food is a bit less than average. We had a pizza, which was OK and a spaghetti carbonara, also OK, but readymade and withour uch taste. When asking for a small bottle of water they serve a brand imported from...Italy. I consequently downscale with one star when this happens on hotels and restaurants. It is a disgrace to let plain water travel thousands of kilometer in these climatedays. Prices are too high and service not very good

We have been visiting the place several times through the years and always been satisfied. This time it was really terrible regarding the food. We started with Bruchetta , that should be bread well toasted. It was just bread, not toasted at all! Next dish...was, as usual, a pizza. This time it was completely raw. It was like “lease”, actually the worst pizza we ever had! The waitress was nice and following up good. We complained about the pizza, she asked if we wanted a new one instead of just changing it

"short review: tasty, but small pizza, friendly service – and yet the evening did not run round! 3 stars with a lot of potential. it is Friday evening, best meal shortly after 19.30 clock, when we are in the la casa, an Italian restaurant in an old villa. sitting on only one of the 8 tables and as no service is to be seen, we sit on a table for two people and wait. and wait. time for a look in detail: slobby lighting, terracotta-colored walls, matching table runners, small tealights with flickering light on the tables, paintings (landscapes, still life, flowers near the walls, which are provided with price tags and offered for sale. then finally a very nice service appears that menus that have a lot to offer: antipasti, fish and meat, pizza and pasta, salad, desserts. the text is not as good as it can be seen, as first the lighting is weak and secondly the individual pages are stuck in labye clear envelopes, which unfortunately are all but clear. a decision is made quickly. I choose my body and magenta food, vegetarian pizza (9,50 € – here called pizza verdura – and in small pils (0,3 l to 2,70 €) and wait. in the meantime 40 minutes have passed since the pizza order, my dear hangs in the knees, I am impatient, the clock shows 20.30 and we are hungry! the guests who have appeared after us are now almost ready to eat while we are still waiting. how heart lut wants to stand up after need, the service appears, apologises with many beautiful words, they have overlooked the order form. After another 10 minutes we finally get our food. the pizza is a little small, but it is filled with fresh vegetables (brukkoli, paprika, wobbles, mushrooms, tomato). the floor is rough, there is nothing to complain. Finally we order espresso, very strong, very good at 2,50 € per piece. an eject of the order should certainly not happen, but can happen once. but if such a thing happens, it would be appropriate for me to offer an espresso or a grappa as a small repair, simply as a sign of apology, good will and generousness, especially because it was a time-intensive delay. the pizzas, although small, tasted good, the service was friendly, but that when entering the permanently empty restaurants went well for 5 minutes until an operation appeared on the picture surface, we felt as disturbing as the long wait for eating and then talking kinky. 3 stars, with ach and crow, more did not come together during this visit."

"Luckily, Lübeck's old town is by no means poor at individual, perhaps even family-run cafes, which are not only branches of one of the dominant bakery chains, but also provide a much more personalized hospitality with their uniqueness and charm. I have already reported about a few, and in this collection, the Cafe Hansehof cannot be missed. The cafe is hidden in an inner courtyard that can be reached via the Wahmstraße. This location alone makes the cafe a secret tip for locals who long for a quiet time away from the crowds of tourists in the warm seasons, which of course come to the more exposed cafes. In addition to many seating in the inner courtyard, the interior located on two floors also delights the guest with a very lovingly designed interior, which has a lively and unique effect mainly due to many antique furnishings. This impression is also reflected in the mind of the operator pair. At lunch in May 2017, when I visited the Cafe Hansehof, the house owner Petra Roos took care of the service. The familial hospitality that she radiated on it immediately leads to a feeling of warm welcome that illuminates the mood and makes the stay all the more pleasant. In a nice conversation, I also learned that by 2015 she had already run a restaurant called Remise just a few houses away. After the termination of the lease, she (luckily for us Lübecker) remained the queen of the Hanse and has now found a new permanent place for her gastronomic heart project. In addition to cakes, breakfast arrangements and sandwiches, it is mainly an offer of many different hearty and sweet pancake dishes, which the Cafe Hansehof has written on the flags and has also become its flagship in Lübecker Gastronomy. These dishes also made me aware of the restaurant and should of course also be my food of choice. In the high north it certainly does not seem unusual that I chose a pancake creation with reference to the sea: a salmon pancake filled with smoked salmon, sour cream, fine apple slices, rag onions and some cream merrettich. (Please click on the picture to see it in the whole. I apologise for the not exactly good quality) salmon pancakes, filled with smoked salmon, sour cream, fine apple slices, rag onions and some cream horseradish. It was already noticed at the first touch that there was really thought about the composition and the court and this was prepared with just as much heart blood. The pancake dough was not too thick or too thin and made the filling tasteful space. There was no ingredient in this, but everything complemented each other in a very good relationship. The smoke aroma of the salmon, the light sweetness and acidity of the apple slices, the slight sharpness of the horseradish, the freshness of the Sour Cream and finally the bite through the onions. Only a small pinch of salt and maybe a few additional (maybe Dill suitable for salmon) would in my opinion be missing for a completely perfect composition. Even at the end of my visit, Fr. Roos concluded this with her great cordiality. After an interesting conversation about the pancake creation and their idea of specializing in such pancake dishes with the cafe, she actually didn't want to accept my tip because I was such a nice, friendly guest for you. Of course, I insisted on wanting to reward them for this great time in their cafe, but nevertheless: How often do you find such a hospitality nowadays? I just wish the Cafe Hansehof all the best and continued stability and success. I strongly recommend that everyone be convinced of the hospitality and the quality of food they have lived here. The cafe definitely deserves to be more than just a secret tip in the Lübecker Gastronomy ."
