"We visited Heidelberg in late May 2017, l have been to Heidelberg quite a lot over the years due to business and decided to actually visit as a tourist and it did not disappoint.Before travelling l had googled various good restaurants to book and this one came up in the search. We actually found it by coincidence as we were exploring the city and decided to book a table, we went there that evening and were delighted with the food and pleasant service from the helpful staff. We were so impressed we book to go again the following evening and again the food was fantastic, we mentioned that we would like to thank the chef who promptly came out and talked with us for a few minutes during this conversation we discovered he was from Argentina and had lived in Heidelberg for 12 years very nice chap indeed we will definitely go again."

This is a great place and has a good vibe to it. Food is good and service is fine. If the weather permits one can sit out and enjoy the sun, like when I was there.

A bit expensive but totally delicious Meat, potatos and mushrooms were totally perfect. Our waitress spoke English and helped us with all the questions (I couldn't eat sugar, so they removed all of it where I asked . Also she asked about our preferences. And girls here are beautiful :

The food is good(especially breakfast), the drinks are better, the location is the best. You can sit there basically at any time of the day and enjoy a few drinks while watching people in one of the nicest areas of Heidelberg close to the Neckar and Theodor Heuss Brücke. Definitely worth a visit.

Been to River cafe second time today for breakfast/brunch with friends. Difficult to get a table inside, place was packed, but still managed for 4 of us, thanks to friendly and helpful staff...Breakfast platter for 2 for 25 Euros is a lot! We visited the River Cafe on a whim on a Friday night and were happy we did! The menu items all sounded good and every dish we saw leave the kitchen (including ours) looked really good. The ingredients were fresh and of good quality. Our meal was excellent, as was the dessert.Compliments to the chef, especially for the sauce on the veal dish we had, it was amazing! It was our first trip, but it won't be our last. ;)

Parisian style Cafe and restaurant...Friendly staff.We didn't have food there but the experience of having a drink in the outdoor area just right across the river was amazing.The restaurant from the inside felt so romantic with candles lit on every table. I used the toilet so I had to walk thru the whole restaurant and I should say it smelled like fish as u walk in the restaurant but I didn't mind since I was sitting outside.On my next visit to Heidenburge am definitely dinning there.

Cozy place with nice food but it was overpriced. We had the sweet potato and sous vide beef, which was very good, but the serving was too small and way overpriced at 19,5 euros.The staff was attentive, fast, and polite. And they spoke English.We sat with our backs to a wide window that was completely opened. This was nice because we got some fresh air in the damp evening. However, people from the restaurant kept smoking right outside into our faces. That was extremely annoying and they didn't care. The staff did nothing either.
