"To start off we were missing cutlery from our table and our desserts were staggered. There was a constant doorbell being spammed for servers to pick up food once would be enough. The main course was ok, but the beef was a bit chewy. For pudding, I initially ordered a biscoff cheesecake but was told they ran out after a few of our table was served their puddings. I then ordered a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, but 15 minutes later was handed just a plain sticky toffee pudding with sugar on top and no reason until I questioned where’s the ice cream. After a member of the table complained, we were offered to remove the OPTIONAL service charge from our bill. The food was adequate, but the service was extremely poor with management penalising the staff by removing the service charge instead of discounting our bill. The management of this pub need some work, but the staff were dealing with it the best they could."

Excellent Sunday roast, well presented and well cooked. Beef was nicely pink, and veggies not over done, great work.

Lovely pub and friendly staff but disappointing chicken kiev which was bland and only came with a spoonful of veg. Could really do with a pie option.

Really terrible experience here staying as guests. No hot water, no check in process, no hot breakfast available, had to move to an inferior cheaper room and were not reimbursed. Hotel promised to refund due to our poor experience but then refused when we accepted the offer. Hugely disappointing and definitely avoid.

I recently went to a pub with my best friend and had a great time. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The beer was good and I enjoyed chatting with the woman working behind the bar. I would love to buy some of the vegetables she grows in her allotment! Overall, I would rate the service and location a 5 out of 5.

We have attempted to dine at this restaurant twice, but unfortunately, it has been closed both times. It would be helpful to have posted opening hours to avoid wasting time and fuel. Today is Wednesday and it appears to not be too busy at the moment. Service was rated 1 out of 5, while the location was rated 4 out of 5.

In response to "why", I cannot fit my full response here due to device limitations. But, the service was poor and the food was too expensive for the quality. The most disappointing aspect was how management handled the situation. Removing our free service fee without discussion or negotiation made our experience feel worthless. It is inappropriate to claim that this is not their usual standard of service, as it raises the question of why we did not receive their usual standard.

My evening meal at this restaurant was disappointing. The owner and staff seemed more concerned about themselves than serving the customers. The food was mediocre at best, with the fish and chips being of similar quality to a basic supermarket cafe but with smaller portions. The batter was limp and thin, the fish was small, and the chips were slightly undercooked. Overall, the price did not match the quality of the food and the service was incredibly poor. It was a very disappointing experience.

The location of the restaurant was great and the room was nice, but we were extremely disappointed with our 2-night stay. We arrived at 3:00 as advertised, but received a voicemail saying the restaurant was closed from 3:00 to 5:00. When we arrived at 3:10, no one was around to check us in and there were no keys in the drop box. We went elsewhere for dinner and drinks and returned after 5:00, still unable to reach anyone. Finally, we got into our room around 6:00. Despite booking a room with a roll-top bath, we did not get what we wanted and the electric in our room kept going off. Breakfast was not an option as no one was ever around in the morning and the pub was only open for 2 hours the...

"After I recently had to change my diet because of illness, I thought that the days I could eat had everything, but then I found the olive tree in nailsworth. I was aware that they have already offered a quite impressive looking vegan menu and so I plan to see if they would be able to meet my other diet requirements that are on the phone not only assured me that I could be supplied, but also the food allergy leaf out and via options with me also a notic next to my booking, so that other workers would also be aware. the olive tree is a small but intimate restaurant with outside seats. there are several vegetarian options on the main menu and on the separate vegan menu 4 or 5 starters, net and even a selection of deserts. the waitress was very attentive to check with the kitchen what they could do for me and finally I decided for a pasta dish, my friend the vegetable risotto. at the beginning we have divided some sweet potato wedges that were tasty the only critique is that the portion size was tiny for the price, but the waitress went over and about the change of the dip that she accompanied so that I could have it. my pasta was tasty, but not too exciting, and no flavor. my friends risotto was very sharp and lemony and in contrast to risottos he cooks in the rule (he is something of a Risotto king!), but he was impressed and the court was very crowded. it was not the biggest meal we ever had, but it is nice to know that there is a restaurant that can offer for so many allergies / diet types."
