"Really disappointing. I’ve enjoyed the food here before so took some friends who were visiting from abroad. The one waiter was friendly but unable to serve everyone. We waited 2 hours to be served main course. The restaurant looked shabby, with worn out chair covers. It was cold and the background music only played intermittently which made for a poor atmosphere. Won’t be returning unless management changes. Food was great when it finally came."

favorite Indian restaurant in stokey. After I tried all Indian restaurants in stokey, this is my favorite by far. I have been regularly in the last 3 years and the food and service is generally excellent as the price.

The food was delicious, but my husband's medium-spicy dish turned out to be extremely hot. The chicken tikka masala was excellent. It's worth noting that sides like naan and rice come at an extra cost. The restaurant's interior is outdated and in need of a renovation. View menu

it was shown to the table, everything looked good until I sat down and realized that the tables are only about 10 inches away from each other. you sit down and it's like you'd eat with a budding stranger to the evening, it was out to go. no idea how this would be eating can not comment.

brilliant. in short, eating is more than just beautiful, less oily and less greasy, taste is fresh and presenation is very good. service is very good for the evening I visited and she seemed pretty busy. also has a few breaks from here and never had a problem. one must try for each curry lover.

Bad service. Food was lovely but very bad service. We had to wait over an hour for the food and when we finished had to wait a very long time for our table to be cleared and were not offered any coffee/dessert. Very unfriendly. I will not be going here again, there are much better Indian restaurants in stoke newington. View menu

Tasty authentic food. I use this restaurant regularly and find them friendly and the food is always consistently good. However, you can wait long for the meal sometimes but then when it comes it is always fresh. I went to a popular restaurant recently which was packed out and the service was great, but they didn't have that fresh authentic taste, thats what I like about Royal India the taste.

The food at this restaurant was mediocre. We informed our waiter that we were heading to the theater, but our meal was delayed. When we arrived, he seemed surprised and claimed our reservation was for 7:30, even though it was actually for 6:30. My dish was supposed to feature organic and local vegetables, but it included sweetcorn and peas that were clearly not in season and therefore not local.
