"My first visit to Sanskriti was a pleasant experience. It is conveniently located a 10-minute walk from Mauldeth Road station with several bus stops nearby, including the No 25. The restaurant was bustling when we arrived on an early Sunday evening, which we took as a positive sign. The menu offered a variety of dishes, both starters and mains. My personal favorite was the dosa, a dish that is not commonly found in many restaurants. While the food was delicious, some items were spicier than expected for my children. It would be helpful if the menu indicated the level of spiciness for each dish. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied and unable to try any desserts due to being so full. If I find myself in the area again, I would definitely consider returning to Sanskriti."

We got five different currys and shared here was a great way of trying lots of different ones! The naans are huge and all the currys were amazing.

One of the best curry houses I have ever tried. They have an extensive menu and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The vegan kebabs are great, and the ragda pattis is amazing.

All round great restaurant. Food seemed authentically Indian and tasted amazing. Nice interior, good service and very reasonable prices. Definitely somewhere that I plan to return to again.

The food at this restaurant is truly amazing and extremely fresh. They offer a wide variety of dishes to choose from and have a fantastic atmosphere. Due to its popularity, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance.

So far Sanskruti has weathered the storm of lockdown and looks set to bounce back. It deserves to. It’s one of the finest Indian restaurants in the north west. A great range is interesting dishes, freshly cooked and well presented. This place is a lot of people’s local favourite so be sure to make a reservation. The Bindi Anari is a great dish, along with the Vegetable Jaipuri and the Tofu Makhani. It’s well worth the price and the staff are courteous, reserved and very friendly.

We visited here with 2 meat eaters and all of us loved it, loads of flavour. Most dishes are Vegan or can be made to be however there are some vegetarian options which kind of makes it more difficult to work out the menu, would be better if just all Vegan as the Veggie options are only a handful anyway just get rid ! Whats red is white remember after all. Soy tika starter was a no from us. All pics are Vegan food. Would defo return, nice vibe and very authentic. Updated from previous review on 2023-03-24

To start, someone came running up to the door with a ramp as soon as they saw me at the door. This, along with a good sized disabled toilet made me happy about my visit. The service was polite and discreet. The menu has a vast choice of vegan options: many veg dishes had vegan options, like replacing tofu for paneer so this place could easily be fully vegan if it chose to. I had pani puri for a starter, masala dosa for a main and vegan masala chai: all delicious. I was close to just eating the coriander dip on its own with a spoon.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
