"We have been patrons of Sara's Indian Restaurant since it first opened around 8/9 years ago. Every time we dine there, the food is consistently outstanding and delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the staff, especially Mia, are always courteous, polite, and efficient. If you are in Coniston, I highly recommend trying one of their delicious meals. Personally, I love the Chicken Chaat starter, although it's hard to choose with so many other tasty options like onion bhajis. Their varied main dishes are also delicious. You can bring your own alcohol or purchase non-alcoholic drinks. We can't wait to visit again and indulge in their amazing flavors. Treat yourself to a culinary delight at Sara's Indian Restaurant, you won't be disappointed!"

Blandest balti we have ever eaten. Did they run out of spices?

Popped in to get a takeaway whilst staying in the area. Good Indian food at a very reasonable price. Would recommend.

Disappointing and overpriced takeaway I ordered a chicken tikka bhuna — sauce was nice; chicken was overcooked and definitely not tikka. To add insult to injury, my husband had chicken tikka in his dish. I was gutted. Bland at best. Avoid.

Very disappointing indeed, spent £45 on a collected takeaway, didn’t take too long. The starters were well below average and the 2 curry’s went in the bin, tasted awful, watery sauce and the meat just tasted weird (both the lamb chicken). I would never order from here again even though these are supposed to be Bradford chef’s..

I typically don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so after dining at Sara's Indian. I was staying in Coniston for one night and decided to give it a try. I must say, the food I had was exceptional, as was the service. I often find that Indian food can be oily with a lingering aftertaste, but my vegetable biryani and Dahl were superb. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went here whilst staying in the area for a weekend. Didn't book but were accomodated very well and seated quickly regardless. Reasonable prices and fantastic food. We went a second night on the trot in fact, as the local pubs weren't offering food. Despite it being last minute, they took our booking very short notice and we had another great meal here. Staff very friendly and welcoming, highly recommend. If I ever stay up there again, I will be sure to visit again!

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
