"Whilst we are reminded of the late Tina Turner of Simply the Best this is continued by our very own Tina the pub landlady. She belts out a fantastic happy and embracing service. Befitting of such a wonderful song. Her very loyal dedicated backing group of the Supremes create and enhance this ambience. Look out for the helpful Anita, caring Emma, and the stylish Maisie and Flaps in the kitchen. This came thru with the delicious food but moreover the breakfasts were sublime. Sourced with fresh produce. At one point I thought the hens laying their eggs were out in the garden area. Very Happy eggs indeed."

What a very pleasant surprise to find this delightful friendly pub/restaurant. Plenty of parking and lots of space both inside and out. Friendly staff.

Visited with a few colleagues as an impromptu lunch catch up. Not been in many years. Staff were very welcoming and lunch was very tasty. Will be back. Thank you.

We are staying in the Burford Bridge Hotel and they were very busy with a big wedding so we walked the six minutes to the stepping stones pub and were not disappointed! Food was good service was excellent! I would definitely recommend this eatery View menu

We stopped by for a drink and the young lady on the bar was very helpful in helping my partner choose a beer. All staff looked happy to be there which is nice to see and the drinks were reasonably priced against other pubs locally. We would happily return when next in the area.

Stopped here for lunch with my aunt her service dog. Staff were welcoming and accomadating. We asked to switch tables to better accomadate my aunt's disability, which was no trouble at all. Servive was pretty quick and the food was clearly fresh delicious will certainly be going back again!

Had a great time for a couple of hours till we were about to leave in the evening, when a waitress decided to stop for a chat. She went on and on and on about her private and working life. Clearly she needed to talk to someone but hers was unprofessional behaviour, we were out for a drink not to serve as someone’s therapist. View menu

We visited this pub at about 5pm on a Monday after a long drive down from the north and the place was very quiet which might be understandable. The decor was very tired, and both carpets and furniture have seen better days. We chose battered cod and chips and sausage and mash for our mains and my husband chose waffle and banana for dessert. The food was nice, but not spectacular. The waiter/barman was very welcoming and friendly, Overall it fitted the bill for what we needed at the time.

Each year we have a family reunion up Box Hill. This year we wanted to meet early for breakfast. I called The Stepping Stones to see if they offered breakfast on a Saturday morning- unfortunately they didn't. After speaking with a lovely gentleman he agreed that they would open especially for us. We were incredibly grateful. We had a warm welcome from Victoria and Anita. They were very friendly and attentive. Everything came out hot and presented well. We had a full breakfast with quality ingredients. Overall we were all very please and hope to come back next year. Thanks again!
