"I went to this restaurant for breakfast this morning and it was a wonderful experience. We arrived shortly after it opened and it was already almost full, but the staff greeted us warmly and informed us that there could be up to a 40-minute wait. We decided to have a coffee while waiting and it was delicious! The ingredients were high quality and cooked perfectly, definitely worth the wait. The staff were all dressed immaculately and the cafe itself was very clean. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which added to our positive experience. Thank you so much!"

Came for breakfast and as always had a chilled out time. Delicious brunch, everything well cooked and brought to me at a good pace. I also ordered crepes which had generous helpings of Nutella and chocolate sauce. Great service, will return.

Really enjoyed my pancakes for breakfast here just what I wanted! The breakfast menu was really good, lots of options. The staff were really friendly and this created a great atmosphere. The place was decorated nicely for Halloween at the time of our visit.

Came across this bistro on our way back to the car having given up trying to find somewhere to eat and glad we did. I had the savoury pancakes and my husband had the sausage sandwich with chips. The food was delicious and piping hot....The coffees were lovely too. Very reasonably priced for Windermere. Keep up the good work! View menu

We stopped in for breakfast during our stay in Windermere and were very happy with the food, service, and price. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The menu had a good variety of options to suit our tastes. Overall, we would definitely return to this Cafe Bistro without any hesitation.

I visited this restaurant for a quick snack. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I was impressed that they welcome dogs and even provide water for them. The homemade fruit scone was delicious, and the pancakes, while a bit pricey at 2 for £4, were thin but tasty. Overall, it was a great visit and I would definitely go back. View menu

Husband had a wrap and I had a sandwich. They were OK and made fresh. The tea tastes strange and my decaf latte was very bitter. We had the dog with us so sat on the bar stools in the window so there was more...room for him (our choice). The bar stool I was sitting on was very rickety. Service was good but the sandwich was a little over priced. The cafe was very busy as it was lunchtime .

The staff were friendly and efficient but the panini I had was undercooked, anaemic looking and tasteless. My partner's bacon roll was fine but the bacon seemed to have been cooked and reheated rather than freshly cooked. A very fancy tea pot with tea infusion...seemed somewhat out of place in this canteen style cafe so, all in all, I regret stopping there and I'm guessing (and hoping) that there are better cafes in Windermere.

"We were sure to book ahead for a table of 4 for 5.15 as it was a late Sunday roast we were fully aware that not everything would be available so it was no surprise when we were told that there was only gammon left for the roast option however there was still fish and chips homemade steak pie or vegetable lasagne. We happily opted for 3 gammon roast dinners and a homemade steak pie with mash (you get the choice of which potato you'd like) The food arrived piping hot with plenty of everything and it was so so tasty you could really tell everything was lovingly made from scratch for the roast the potatoes came both roasted and mashed with cauliflower, broccoli and carrot and swede mash. A generous helping of gammon and a large Yorkshire pudding with gravy that was clearly made with the juices as it was so flavourful. The steak pie was brilliant too homemade with large chunks of steak and a choice of potato and whether you'd like the same veg as that with the roast or with peas. This also came with gravy. For dessert there was a choice of either chocolate fudge cake, caramel apple pie or sticky toffee pudding and you had the choice of either cream, ice cream or custard. 2 of us got it with custard and 2 of us got it with ice cream and it wasn't overbearingly sweet it was perfect with a delicious caramel top! We all thoroughly enjoyed all the food and the drinks and service and will be back again one day if we find ourselves holidaying here again"
