"The staff were friendly and efficient but the panini I had was undercooked, anaemic looking and tasteless. My partner's bacon roll was fine but the bacon seemed to have been cooked and reheated rather than freshly cooked. A very fancy tea pot with tea infusion...seemed somewhat out of place in this canteen style cafe so, all in all, I regret stopping there and I'm guessing (and hoping) that there are better cafes in Windermere."

Out of all the cafes we tried in Windermere this was by far the best. The vegan sausages were delicious, scrambled egg was done perfectly, delicious coffee and the service was amazing. 10/10. Thanks.

Came for breakfast and as always had a chilled out time. Delicious brunch, everything well cooked and brought to me at a good pace. I also ordered crepes which had generous helpings of Nutella and chocolate sauce. Great service, will return.

Really enjoyed my pancakes for breakfast here just what I wanted! The breakfast menu was really good, lots of options. The staff were really friendly and this created a great atmosphere. The place was decorated nicely for Halloween at the time of our visit.

convened a morning at our stay in windermere to the breakfast and were satisfied with eating, service and worth. the staff was very friendly and could not do enough for them, there was enough choice on the menu to satisfy our actions. so all in all other cafe bistro we would definitely not visit a problem again

Came across this bistro on our way back to the car having given up trying to find somewhere to eat and glad we did. I had the savoury pancakes and my husband had the sausage sandwich with chips. The food was delicious and piping hot....The coffees were lovely too. Very reasonably priced for Windermere. Keep up the good work!

Husband had a wrap and I had a sandwich. They were OK and made fresh. The tea tastes strange and my decaf latte was very bitter. We had the dog with us so sat on the bar stools in the window so there was more...room for him (our choice). The bar stool I was sitting on was very rickety. Service was good but the sandwich was a little over priced. The cafe was very busy as it was lunchtime .

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
