"Booked a little celebration this evening for our friend who is returning to Japan. 3 Adults and 3 teenagers. Booked for 5.15 and closing at 7pm. ordered by 5.30 and by 6.30pm still no food, in polite Japanese we asked if our starter foods could come before the rest, we assumed that the chef was planning for all the food together but as time was passing we obviously hungry after 1hours wait. Still no food , and the waitress even came to ask if we wanted to make any 'last orders ', a somewhat strange request given we had not yet received a morsel of food! Food finally came and we ate and left, on the way out initial polite goodbyes were exchanged with the chef ending with 'if you come again pls expect to wait ' 'if you can 't wait don 't come again! ' huh!. Unbelievably arrogant toad of a man given that we had not said anything to deserve such an exchange, mysogynist? The lady he said this to only informed me once we arrived home else I would have given him an earful. Conclusion, food is good, no doubt about that ,but don 't be surprised if you get terribly poor rude service for simply breathing."

Some of the best sushi I’ve eaten outside of Japan or even inside for that matter! Fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared. Will definitely be back for more.

Me and my sister have been coming here for years and we absolutely love it! The food is great the service is also great and as a shop it has a lot of character! We come back every time we’re both in London, would recommend the udon noodles very highly.

This is potentially the best original sushi place that I have tried so far. The rice is succulent and the meats are fresh, the Japanese standard quality as recommended by my colleague. For dinner, you may want to reserve if you plan to dine in around 7pm-ish. View menu

poor customer service, the lady at the front appeared to be quite grumpy and just not bothered to smile or be nice towards the customers, almost robotic, delay in food arriving, no apology to say sorry for the wait, as would happen in japan! yes food is good but surely if the atmosphere does not match then what's the point?

Sushi is ok quality for the price. I don’t know if it was online orders that they were handling first, but staff was a little slow, given the restaurant was far from full. Nothing majorly bad though. Don’t expect a huge space as it is pretty tiny but compact. I would recommend this however, if you’re willing to have decent sushi on a budget. Nice location too (Shoreditch, I believe).

My Japanese friends always recommend this place and went there for a quick lunch at last! I must say that I was impressed with the authentic flavour in this tiny shop. Only 5-6 chairs and no proper restaurant but it’s worth trying for the friendly polite staff with such reasonable priced delicious sushi. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes sushi but got bored of fake takeaway chains. View menu

Have been going here for years, often order a platter and ask for the mackerel to be exchanged, not once has it been an issue but today, the lovely girls tried to get the man making the sushi to agree, he never once looked at me just spoke to the girls at length in Japanese with a flat out no. When I explained that it’s never been a problem there was an excuse that this is a rule since lockdown! Ridiculous. Very poor and rude customer service. I won’t be rushing back.

This is my favourite Sushi bar in London by far. All the fish is extremely fresh and well sourced, full of flavour and the perect texture in every dish from their Sashimi's to their Uromaki's. The chef is from Japan himself and always handcrafts the best sushi platters. The place is unsespecting but the quality of the food and service never ceases to amaze. The value is also very good. I often come here for lunch. I wished it would closed later in the evening as I would also visit for dinner. I have recommended this place to many.
