Of the three Greek restaurants we have been to in the Wiesbaden area, this has been the best! The service was good, the prices were great, and the food was even better. We will definitely be back!

It was so hot when we were in Wiesbaden that some evenings substantial German fare (which I love) just seemed to much. This lovely, friendly restaurant, set back from the road in it's own courtyard, offers excellent Greek food at very reasonable prices. We visited five times in our 11 day stay in Wiesbaden. I have been to 3 or 4 Greek restaurants in Wiesbaden and I have to say symposion is definitely my first choice. The food is tasty, the staff is friendly and the dishes are very unique to this restaurant. Compared to other Greek restaurants the dishes here contain a lot of potato sides, which is a nice variation.

We have tried several Greek restaurants in Wiesbaden/Biebrich, and this is our favorite by far. My favorite dish is Moussaka, and theirs was fantastic. My husband really enjoyed his lamb skewer and Bifteki. The only negative was the starter salad. Iceberg lettuce, barely pink tomato, cucumbers and creamy dressing. A bit of feta would have been great.

We went there on Friday night, and the place was full. The outside patio is really nice, and away from the street. The staff is really nice, and very helpful. We found the food to be relly good, and the portions were very generous. The service wasn't super fast, but the restaurant was full, so we already expected a little waiting. On arrival the welcome is warm and at the end the ouzo is cold! Everything in between is what one hopes for! Very friendly family run place! Excellent food served in a relaxed manner, a taste of the Mediterranean in down town Wiesbaden. In addition the wine card has some excellent wines that cater to a wider international taste. Ideal for winter but with the sheltered terrace for summer dinning also!

Four of us had dinner at Symposion last night and we all agreed that we can't give it more than an "average" rating. The ambience is nice and the service friendly, if not necessarily prompt. To be charitable, I'd call our 2-hour two-course dinner "leisurely". The starter salads were good but the lamb and seafood dishes we ordered were pretty ordinary with minimal presentation. Perhaps another negative factor has to be the men's restroom (no report on the ladies') which was pretty foul smelling, not an appetizing factor when trying to appreciate a meal. Sorry to say we probably won't be returning for a second visit.

I was visiting Wiesbaden Rheingau Wine Fair (highly recommended), last Saturday and a friend suggested this place for dinner. I am not familiar with Greek food, therefore it is usually not an option I consider, however; I could not have been more delighted with the experience. The place is a bit hidden, we even drove past it and missed it. Once in, the place is quite big, it was lively and it was full (do try to book in advance to avoid disappointment). We were very lucky to get a table and despite of being busy serving a full restaurant, the waiters were extremely pleasant, smily and helpful.
