"I can not recommend this place enough. Our visit to the Alyth Hotel Restaurant has left me stuffed and speechless. It is hard to put into words just how full of flavour the food is. I Sampled their Indian menu and it was just tremendous. Chicken pakora cooked to a crisp perfection served with the most amazing sauce I've ever tasted. moving onto the masala which somehow transported me direct to the heart of India. i enjoy Indian food but these guys took it to a whole new level. The staff there are so warm, welcoming and helpful. We will definatly be making this a regular treat and highly recommend you do the same. If you want clean, fresh modern dining with a countryside pub feel, reasonably priced food and outstanding service and taste then this is for you. The Alyth Hotel Restaurant truly is a treasure."

I went to dinner last night and the food was incredibly delicious. There were several vegetarian options to choose from and the service was amazing. I will definitely be returning! View menu

We wanted to try this place on the first night we moved to Alyth and are both vegan. We were delighted to see they had vegetarian options on their menu but it turns out they cook everything in BEEF FAT!! We have discussed reporting them to food standards and still may do this as people have dietary requirements for allergy reasons as well as personal choice. Absolutely ridiculous place

Visited the Alyth Hotel with a friend for afternoon tea today. Fantastic! For an incredibly reasonable £21 we received a three tier selection of beautifully presented, fresh, home made sandwiches and cakes and with Prosecco! The perfect portion size for two, we cleared the platter (so no waste) but left feeling full. The atmosphere was cosy and friendly. The owner, Stewart, was attentive and charming and the family friendly atmosphere was warm and welcoming. All in all a wonderful experience. 10/10 View menu

Last night, four of us (two couples) had a meal at the Alyth Hotel and it was fantastic. We each had different starters and main courses, and we all agreed that each dish was superb. The prices for the food and drinks were very reasonable, and we tried a few drinks. Stewart and Louis were great hosts, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. This was my first time at the restaurant since these guys took over, and I will definitely be back. My brother and sister-in-law, who were dining with us, have also tried meals from the take-away menu and said they were excellent. The decor is also lovely.

The two young girls who cooked and served us were friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable. The food was served quickly and efficiently. We enjoyed lentil soup, macaroni, garlic bread, chips, apple pie with custard, an Irn Bru, and a coffee with a biscuit for my dad who wasn't very hungry. I thought the portion sizes were perfect and the food was delicious. The bill came to £11, which was very reasonable. I can't wait to bring the rest of my family back. The drive from Perth was worth it, especially with plenty of free parking next to the hotel. Thank you for providing a wonderful and friendly experience in such a lovely setting. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. T...

"We visited to see the Beatrix Potter Exhibition with family who were visiting and spent a lovely hour going around the exhibition, however our nice time was rudely interrupted by the elderly lady working in the cafe with dyed black curly hair. We have one child with serious allergies, so instead of one child feeling left out and risking cross exposure, we packed safe snacks for all the kids going anywhere with allergies is an absolute nightmare, so we always do this. Most places are trained and appreciative of how hard it is to eat out with allergens and happy to make reasonable adjustments for this. All four adults ate from the cafe. When part of our order was delivered, we were told “this isn’t a picnic area, you can’t eat your own food, you wouldn’t take food in to McDonald’s” (whilst looking at the 2 year old eating her snacks) when I responded yes I actually would, we have a child with allergies, she asked if it was serious allergies to which I said yes and she scoffed and left, no apology, nothing. I must add that whether the children would be eating or not, they would still have to sit at the table and take up the same amount of space. Would the children also be prevented from sitting because they didn’t buy from the cafe? Still waiting on my food order twenty minutes later and having already finished my coffee and frustrated at the wait, I asked for a refund as we now felt hurried to leave because of how upset she was at the children eating snacks at the table without purchasing them in their cafe. I got the refund for my missing meal and we left without going to the shop or seeing the other art, it has left a bad taste in my mouth. We spent just shy of £100 in the place and to be spoken to like that was horrible. The elderly employee with dyed black hair really needs some training on customer service and manners. The way she looked at us as we left was awful, we will not be returning. This place is not welcoming of children or those with allergies I dread to think how they would react to someone who is tube fed, probably told to eat outside just avoid."
