"We come to the Bell quite often and have always found it good value and an enjoyable experience. The Bull and Bush in Hampstead is my local from work and is the same group. I would usually give but on this occasion it was very cold in the restaurant. Our party was better fixed than those in the conservatory where two women were sitting huddled in their coats and walking through to the cloakrooms one realised how cold it was out there. We did mention it twice to our waitress but unfortunately we were fobbed off with excuses. perhaps the heating could have been on as all the radiators were cold."

They did not honor the reservation even though the restaurant was completely empty. We don't really except open table reservations. They send us an email and we only sometimes get it

We were a little disappointed food was okay but not anything spectacular. This is my second visit recently but was a regular a few years ago when food, service and value was very good. Neither recent visits anything particularly memorable which is a shame.

We chose the Bell more for the convenience of its location, but were very pleased we did. The menu was varied and good for carnivores and vegetarians alike, food was good, service was very friendly and overall it was a successful get together. We will return!

Shown to a very gloomy table and waitress reluctantly allowed us to move! Service really slow with reminders needed. Why not have a separate area for people dining with children?? Saw several adults grimace at a very noisy table with small children past o’clock on saturday night.

Experience was very pleasant. One thing to mention is a certain part of the meal was complained about to two members of staff and when leaving we were asked how it all was, they lady who asked us said she had no idea we had not had any feedback about the complaint and gave us some money off.

Everything was ‘OK’ but nothing special. Travelled to get there and we felt that it wasn’t worth the drive for a course meal for two with wine and when we got home, we had a snack because we will still hungry. Very weird ‘relish/chutney/sauce’ served with the cheese the flavour and texture was unpalatable.
