"Found The Bessemer as my twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this part of town and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, the interior is cool,a quite large bar ,a cool looking serving...bar dominates the main room, eclectic decor and furnishings, funky lighting and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar,its just a great bar to chill out in. We were here on a Thursday night, greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the bar team, we got beers which were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. My beer was really good, a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste, on a hot night a totally refreshing brew, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew and served by staff who are genuinely pleased to see you in their bar,its hardly surprising that this bar is so popular. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before moving on and for a first time visit to The Bessemer we were totally impressed. The Bessemer is easy to locate along Leopold Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, Open from Midday. A wonderful bar, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area."

If you are interested in the industrial history of Sheffield and the Midlands, the Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield is a must-visit attraction.

Front of house staff on Saturday day were not trained or natural in customer service also very slow to serve and too busy on phone/chatting. Food poor and in need of a refurb. Great location in centre of town though.

We called for a few pints were impressed with how well kept they were. A credit to the staff. All around customers were enjoying well presented food. Pleasant staff, clean tables, also very clean toilets. Thank you for the comfortable time we spent...in your pub. Will return soon.

Stopped off for a couple of drinks while completing the Bear Trail and ended up staying for a bit longer than planned. Tried to order a pitcher of cocktails but many of them weren't available due to ingredients not being in stock. Not bad staff...and they were constantly wiping down tables as people left and collected glasses. Not bad prices too.

Looking for somewhere to eat and not knowing Sheffield very well, we came across The Bessemer by accident. There were three of us and we all ordered different meals from the menu. All the meals were very good, as were the desserts and reasonably priced...too. Service was very good too, as was the beer and wine. We will certainly visit The Bessemer again when we next visit Sheffield. We visited at Lunchtime on

Oh my goodness. This restaurant was a disaster. After enjoying a lovely meal in Leopold Square, we decided to check out this place and were completely appalled. The establishment was dirty, with items scattered all over the floor, dirty glasses and trash left on the tables, and the restrooms were absolutely horrendous. The patrons seemed rough and boisterous, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere where I didn't feel safe. The Bouncers were unwelcoming and unfriendly, making me hesitant to approach them. I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

We visited this pub on a recent visit to Sheffield, the food and drinks were well priced and the service was quick, however a rare' steak was very well cooked and dry, we requested a replacement to of the parties steaks as another was...not medium'. The steaks re arrived mins later at which point the rest of the plate of food had gone stone cold, the staff were very apologetic and quickly provided hot chips, peas and onion rings and made a deduction on the bill. Once we all had the correct meals it was thoroughly enjoyable and the barmen were very pleasant and helpful. Certainly would visit again.

"I was well impressed with this restaurant. I usually eat at F&B..and I really quick understand the differences between food and taste, between restaurants. I know also what is the standard for F&B. Bad service you keep to remember and will not make you a returning customer. This is the only restaurant in a 100 miles radius I never complained or my food was never raw. I also appreciated on my last visit a lady who was cleaning she looked more from management as she didn’t had an uniform, setting a good example in cleaning for her employees and customers by cleaning tables very thoroughly, all the spots covered. Well impressed by that especially as I work with Covid patients and I know how important is to be infectious free. The separation areas they build are important as well. The lady who was cleaning I didn’t manage to see her badge as she is a fast walker but she had a colourful mask , the only one who was actually wearing one and yes I know you can choose if you want to wear them but still for me was important as she was trying to protect others in a close environment with covid roaming around everywhere. I held myself for over 2 weeks to write this review as I was to busy but like I said I will be a returning customer.Kudos to her ! Kudos to all managers who are setting the bar high and lead by example! I eat here roughly every 2 weeks and I’m always very well treated. My favourite restaurant, if 10 stars were to be available, 10 stars from me! From the 3 restaurants that Sheffield has, this is by far the best one! Keep it up, guys!"
