"I keep meaning to take a few photos of the good before I do this review but I keep eating it to fast and forget each time. Such a great pub with plenty of space inside so you don’t feel cramped or sat on peoples laps. Food is right up there and I would say is one of the best pubs for food in the south east of Kent that I have been to. I have had the same both times being the prawn starter, the prawns are nearly the size of a lobster and taste so fresh. Black robin burger is what I have had for mains and it is very good comes with chips that are super fresh and crunchy. Desert I had the brownie Sunday and it was like eating drugs, just needed more. Great pub would highly recommend, staff are very attentive and happy so sort any issues."

Stayed locally for some hiking in the hills and tried this place on a Friday evening. Very relaxed, lovely scenery, friendly staff and great food. Love their focus on local produce. Well worth a visit.

We’re tourists in the area and this was the closest pub for dinner. To be honest I wasn’t expecting too much after seeing the photos of previous reviews for the food, but it was really really good (excuse my photos too lol). The service was first class and so so welcoming and great value for money to boot. AND dog friendly

Lovely evening meal at The Black Robin. Great menu with specials board. Food was all top quality and we'll presented. Young staff were excellent and are a credit to this place. We booked a week in advance and every table was reserved in the restaurant area. They also have a lovely garden out the back and a car park to the side.

Lovely! Funeral Wake. Book for 1pm tea and coffee there but no food there why they were preparing it. By 1.15 when everone had got their drinks HOT sticky chicken drumsticks, warm scotch eggs, warm sausage rolls and bouncy fresh sanwiches. Light scones, jam and cream. Nothing had been sitting under cling film for houres. Perfect!

A very nice and quiet pub with comfortable seating, a beer garden and a bookable lounge. The staff is attentive and friendly. The menu is well sorted. We had the chicken burger and the black robin burger, both excellent. Also the cherry crumble with custard as dessert. However, the range of local beers advertised on the website was rather poor. Therefore “only” 4.75 stars.

We held a wake at the Black Robin, and the experience was so good from the very first meeting to discuss dates. Every member of staff was so kind and attentive, they accommodated all of our requests and the food was wonderful (and there was lots of it! I can't thank all of the staff team enough for being so lovely at this very tricky time. I would fully recommend The Black Robin to anyone looking for a venue for a wake.

Arrived at pub and ordered a BLT bacon sandwich. £9.50. When the sandwich arrived it came with a side salad. The bacon was well cooked streaky with a little lettuce and bits of tomato. The problem was the thick cut white bread was stale and one slice was dried out. I dont like to complain in front of my friend but discretely told the waitress. I had eaten most of the sandwich as was quite hungry and the waitress said she would deduct something off the price after seeing the staler piece of bread. She in fact allowed 95p off the bill..very dissapointed with it.
