"This review is for the food but I forgot to take a picture.. The Sunday dinner was fantastic home cooked food, the best mash I’ve had and potatoes are never my favourite thing on the plate! Very buttery and full of flavour. We had beef at £10, a fantastic price.. it was the hottest Sunday dinner I’ve had and there wa plenty of veg cooked to perfection. There was a home cooked apple crumble on the n pudding menu but it had sold out maybe we’ll get there earlier when we revisit A no frills traditional pub with friendly staff, well worth a dinner if you’re in the area. Oh yeah. There was a large beer garden which potentially could be lovely to sit and eat in the summer. There’s an undercover area out there with a large log burner, very appealing for those evenings where you want to sit outside and eat but the British weather can’t quite tempt you on its own. Sorry, should have taken pics nx time"

Dreadful experience. The place is basic, not clean, toilets abysmal. Funeral refreshments thankfully bought in otherwise wouldn’t have eaten there. Certainly wouldn’t take children there. A place to avoid. View menu

Great village local, lovely warm welcome from the first day I stepped foot inside. Not like some local pubs that instantly you feel like an outsider, there 's a log burner, pool tables dartboards bullsh*t corner is a funny touch too. Cheap meals/bar food for the family, cheap drinks at prices you would expect to pay in say a working mens club rather than a bar. Overall its a great place to unwind, listen to the very very varied tastes of music on the jukebox and throw some arrows or shoot some pool. Shut on Wednesdays as google doesn 't appear to have this correct on many locals lately

This pub sits in the centre of a quiet village, looking out over the village green. It has a large car park, a grass play area, and outside seating areas, front and back. Inside, there are two bars and a restaurant. It has, basically, everything you need... Two pool tables, darts, two TV's, a juke box, and plenty of space. The beer I tried was clear and crisp, and the fish and chips in the restaurant was tasty, fresh, and ENOURMOUS! A friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome from both staff and locals alike, made this a super place to visit for us. I hear they hold darts nights, pool nights, open Mike, quiz night, and band nights.... All sounds quite busy. Well done, the Brass Windmill.

"We choose this spot because of the many positive reviews. I guess we turned up on a bad day!I have only been introduced to coffee a few years ago despite being in my mid 50’s and really don’t like coffee unless a well made flat white. I travel the world frequently for work and always ask the same question, can you make a flat white? The reason being unless the person is a passionate barista I rarely get a coffee I enjoy. This question clearly upset the lady serving us who ‘rolled her eyes out loud’ by the question and then represented the request to her colleague in a manner that was more like ‘we have a pain in the arse’ than ‘can we make this gentleman a nice coffee. (Yes we overheard).Everything was fine except the flat white was a milky coffee and not something I enjoyed. Not a problem though. I never said a word but when asked at the counter how things were I thought I would say everything was good except the ‘flat white’. Immediately confronted by both in very hostile way was very surprising as I was only answering a question I thought they were interested in hearing I placed a review on their website and their response is a really good example of their attitude. Instead of focusing on service recovery they wanted to blame me and absolve themselves of any responsibility.I of course mentioned this to a few people in Sleaford and surprise surprise was met with very similar responses, ‘we don’t go there anymore as the staff can be very rude’ Looking forward to seeing how the proprietors decide to respond to this one."
