"Very disappointed. Have been here many times and have always enjoyed it. The menu has changed and unfortunately not for the better. The lovely menu has gone along with the specials board. Menu used to include dishes such as sea bass and salmon along with classical dishes such as sausages and mash and liver and bacon. It has now been replaced with scampi and chips,pizzas and burgers. Not the lovely traditional pub that it once was. Unfortunately no longer for us."

"My friend and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast lunch here which is excellent value but huge! This would suit most people with a very healthy appetite but it was a shame that my elderly friend could not do it justice although she gave it a good go! I would suggest offering a slightly smaller size of roast dinner (price adjusted accordingly) for those with smaller appetites. This isn't a complaint, just a suggestion. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. I have only marked down the score I've given for ambience because, on a warm sunny day, it does get uncomfortably hot in the conservatory and there are no blinds."

"Met up with some girlfriends last week and we were very impressed with everything here. The manager was friendly, helpful and efficient. We discussed the wine and had a super White Rioja, Lopes de Haro. The menu was varied and when our meals arrived we were all impressed with the presentation not to mention the flavours and quantity. Rather than have a full desert each the chef was very thoughtful and divided two chocolate brownies for the 6 of us each to have some with our coffee he even added a strawberry and ice cream. Brilliant. A super place to eat I would highly recommend it."

"my first visit to this restaurant gave him top brands, but recent visits have disappointed me. my penultimate meal of king prawn tikka masala contained of muddy soft garnel that I did not eat. I didn't mention it. but told a worker when I ordered a meal for the collection next. When I collected that eating, I mentioned again the garnel at the obvious chef and he looked at me with confusion and it was obvious that he was not aware of the problem. I had mentioned to the author to make sure that my garnels were fresh this time and that some extra garnels would be appreciated. he told me our garnels are always fresh, so obviously I am a lügner in his mind. my disappointment turned out to be twice. no extra garnish and yet a mushy soft garnish. I love their sose so that I can buy hawn tikka masala in future (until I buy a replacement restaurant) and to cook my own fresh garnels and add from marks and spenser’s. it is a shame that the service and the bad garnel have left a bad taste in my mouth."

"I visited with my friend and our toddlers for lunch and was really impressed. The food was lovely and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They even took the time to have a quick chat with the kids when they were serving our lunch!...Will definitely be going back."
