"I recently stayed at this pub and hotel in the village center and I was very impressed! The pub wasn't too crowded when I visited, but I hear it can get busy, especially when there is live music. They have a good selection of drinks and the barmaid gave me a great recommendation. The prices were reasonable as well. There is a games room with foosball and a pool table in the back where local teenagers hang out. The beer garden is partially covered and heated, making it a great spot to relax. The pub is also very dog-friendly, providing treats, water, and even poo bags. The staff were friendly, the locals and travelers were happy, and the rooms were well-decorated with song lyrics. Amenities such as tea, coffee, soap, and shampoo were provided, along with a comfortable bed and TV. It can get noisy since you are above a pub, but the main road was relatively quiet at night. There is no parking on site, but there is a large car park behind the Co-op. They are currently doing exterior refurbishment work, so watch out for scaffolding and wet paint. Once it's finished, this place will be even better. I will definitely be returning!"

The rooms are small but clean. Overall, I would rate the rooms, service, and location a 3.

This restaurant is a charming spot to stay. The room was lovely, with Yorkshire tea and thoughtful attention to detail. The bar and staff were also wonderful. It's hard not to love this place. Perfect.

Had an amazing stay at the courthouse inn. Colleen, the owner of the pub was so generous and unbelievably nice. She provided us with great food, conversation and a comfy bed. Will 1000% stay again. Thanks Colleen! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 View menu

Far too noisy. Cleanliness issues! Terrible mattress. Parking wasn't great. Wasn't a great experience. Wouldn't stay again unfortunately. A bit more attention to cleanliness, mattress, supply of ear plugs would improve score to 2.5 3 stars. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The restaurant review could be rewritten as: "The single room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived late and was able to enjoy a well-kept ale before bed. It was a pleasant and affordable stay without any extra amenities while visiting relatives."

My wife, two friends, and I had a fantastic Christmas lunch at the restaurant on 12 December 2023. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent - five stars! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our experience was enjoyable. The three-course meal plus a mince pie for £9.50 was exceptionally good value. We will definitely make this a must-visit dining venue in the New Year if the food is consistently available. Well done to everyone involved!

I spontaneously booked a room at the Court House Pub and Hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent room rate and brilliant service upon my arrival. After cycling from Milton Keynes to Thrapston in preparation for the London to Brighton bike ride, I had originally planned to stay at a friend’s house. However, due to my friend being delayed, I decided to book a room instead of waiting around for two hours. Upon arrival, the landlady kindly noticed my exhaustion and offered a secure place for me to leave my bike for the evening without me having to ask. I was then efficiently checked into a clean, comfortable and welcoming room. It was a lovely stay overall and I greatly appreciate th...

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
