The Devon Doorway - Menu

Loons lovely, totally over priced. Food is good quality, but portions are small. Used to be much better in days gone by. Team are very friendly, could be so much more popular. Chasing the of Heswall (not Birkenhead), and totally taking advantage of the wealthy locals!

We had not been to the Devon Doorway in a while, as our previous experiences had been disappointing. However, after receiving a birthday offer email, we decided to give it another chance. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious meal we had during our recent visit.

Last night at the devon doorway. we have taken care of at any time by charlotte, abbi and their top team of friendly staff. nothing was too much annoying, refreshing beer and hearty well cooked meals were the order of the day. We had a wonderful evening celebrating our elderly grandparents 60th Anniversary here. The food was brilliant we highly recommend the vegetable coconut curry, which was amazing! and the staff were great. Particular thanks to Maya who was so friendly and looked after us brilliantly. Thank you to all at the Devon Doorway for making it a brilliant evening!

I'm here a few weeks ago with some friends! I can't stop thinking about the fantastic service and warm welcome when I arrived. the menu selection was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I even recommended other friends who went one week later, singing their lobe about the devon doorway! we were greeted and served by honor and cath, who were thrilled and made my visit really pleasure. We had an amazing starter of chicken liver parfait, which we shared but regretted not getting one each because it was so delicious. The belly pork was difficult to cut and quite chewy, although tasty. It wasn't as melt-in-your-mouth as we had hoped, but the scallops that came with it were heavenly. The waiter kindly removed a round of drinks, costing nearly £12, to make up for our disappointment. Despite our mixed experience, we would recommend this restaurant and would be willing to give it another try if we are in the area again.

Went for the first time last Wednesday to celebrate a family occasion. The waiters were excellent and the food was good when it eventually arrived, and I would have liked to provide a better rating however there were too many issues. Firstly, it took too long. We arrived at 6.30 but didn't eat until after 8pm. We weren't in a rush so it didn't matter but not good enough. Secondly, the starters didn't arrive and had to be re-ordered. For main I chose the half rotisserie chicken, and that's what I was expecting, but was presented with two separate pieces comprising a leg and breast. A bit disappointing. eating was amazing from the bark on the fryed to the fryed, all perfected in every sight. the atmosphere was like fine eating the walls plasted with a greenish teal blue with tasteful pictures on all, the staff was fast and had a nice setting to work. I and my family (no sister mama had a few of the same things, my mother sister sister and nan got a bark roast while I got the burger. the only fall of the meal was that there was no more of it! the burgers’ necks were so roasted that they were still soft, and absolutely amazing meal. the brat had amazingly cooked bark and the gravy was sweet and quite tasteful, the bratkartoffels, where crispy and very beautiful. we wanted to have a whisper, b...
