"Absolutely fantastic food! While the location is a bit inconvenient, the dining experience was truly delightful. I had the best cheese soufflé starter I've ever tasted, followed by a light, delicate sole for the main course. My partner tried the cake paired with a delicious smoky sauce and beautifully cooked seasonal vegetables. However, the standout dish was the gooseberry soufflé. Although it took about 20 minutes to prepare and came with an extra charge, it was definitely worth the wait! They also offered a wide selection of drinks, including some very approachable orange wines and sweet dessert ports. This place is a must-visit, but be sure to make a reservation well in advance."

Incredible dining experience! I attended my son's 11th birthday celebration and enjoyed the tasting menu, which was absolutely delicious.

Eaten here several times. Great food, friendly service. Was previously Michelin Bib Gourmand, but is now Michelin !!! Hopefully will still be able to get a table.

Outstanding Sunday lunch, the best I've ever eaten. Everything cooked to perfection. Good size portions, tender meat, full of flavour with quality ingredients and excellent value for the 3 courses, you can't ask for more than that, it's a shame I live so far away, but I will definitely return again when in the area. Highly recommended.

my first time in a Michelin star restaurant and also my first menu. I must say that my expectations were that it would be nice to eat, but I would be a bit boring at the pace and at the end still hungry. I must say my expectations were blown out of the water! every cure was just amazing. there was a nice relaxed pub atmosphere with excellent service. was just fantastic and we will be back!

The starters were excellent, but the main course included venison, which was great. However, the suet pudding was undercooked, and the sugar on the crème brûlée was burnt, making it taste bitter. The guy at the next table returned all of his desserts. This was an anniversary meal, and I won't forget it—£180 poorly spent. We've had much better meals for a lot less money. Price per person: £90–100. Food rating: 3. View menu

Lovely food, good portion sizes for Michelin resturant This place is really about the food, everything was just amazing. perfect mixes of flavours it all just worked. Prices were about right I'd say because the food was up there with the best but the place and especially the toilets need a refurb. Venue is just like a standard village pub but a bit plain. You wouldnt feel out of place dropping in straight from work, you can get dressed up but you won't feel out of place not doing.

a wonderful pub. the eating was amazing, I had cheese soufflé and omg my mouth is only to water, and the pasta, everything was beautifully presented, the cocktails in the offer were fab. elderflower aperol splash, and espresso martinis were consumed. cozy and not intentional. dogs allowed nice staff only those who come in a larger group (larger than 8) must be divided into two tables, but no problem. a thing that could be updated are the toilets, but all in all I would highly recommend.
