"Outstanding!!!! My family and I had a beautiful roast dinner. It was plentiful, pipping hot and just so taste. My other two members of the family are vegetarian and a vegan they were catered for too. The catering staff were so accommodating nothing was too much trouble. The bar staff were really friendly and the landlady was front of house making sure all the guests were all being taken care of. To top it off they had a live band on late afternoon the atmosphere was fantastic. A great Sunday afternoon out with my family and I am looking forward to returning to The Dukes Head!"

The roast dinners at this restaurant are terrible - the roast potatoes have no taste, the meat is hard and chewy, and the vegetables are disgusting ever since new owners took over. On top of that, the roast dinners are priced at £13.50 and there are no options for children's meals. View menu

Welcomed by Emma the owner and landlady, which was lovely as a single traveller. She looked after me and chatted made me feel very welcome. Sad to have booked a table at my hotel as I think Idve liked to have stayed longer and sampled the food. Warm and cosy , typical English pub, log fire !

Nice pub but awful waitress, I believe one of her colleagues called her Demi. She is very rude and has a lot of attitude. She was coming across very flirty with my partner but was stone faced to me, I don’t like the way she acted. Food was amazing but not happy with my service a rude, flirty, disrespectful young woman.

I visited this restaurant for the first time for their Sunday Roast, under new ownership. I was disappointed with the experience. The roast potatoes were tasteless, the vegetables were rock hard and appeared to be frozen. The cabbage and bacon in a creamy sauce was revolting. The meat was decent, but the gravy was tasteless and runny. The previous owners used to serve great roast dinners, but I will not be returning after this experience. View menu

I recently visited this pub for the first time since the new owners took over, and I must say, it was a disappointment. The pub was very cold, the potatoes and vegetables were bland, and the meal seemed overpriced for something that tasted like a microwave dinner. There was no fresh taste, just a pre-made meal in my opinion. The only positive aspect of the visit was the excellent service from the staff. They were all friendly and prompt. It's disappointing to see that this place, which used to be known for delicious roasts, has lost its charm.

We went here for a girls eve and as it has changed hands decided to re try.very quite only us and 1 other family eating. The menu is a4 doubles sided but only 2 dishes for a vegetarian which I couldn't eat due to allergies, u asked if it was cid and chips was told yes to then be told no its haddock. I ended up with egg and chips but was charged for ham and chips nearly £10 for this. Not somewhere I will be re going very disappointing. Staff are friendly enough but on top if you the while time you are there so you feel very rushed. On the whole an expensive disappointment.
