"We have always enjoyed eating at Egg Cafe, however we attended on Sunday 4th November at 2.55pm missed the chalk board notice halfway up the stairs stating food not served after 3pm . We proceeded to the counter but there were no obvious seats available and the staff kindly suggested we could sit upstairs notwithstanding the sign said upstairs was closed. This was very kind courteous of them. We were considering what to order when one of the counter staff informed us they were open until 5pm but stopped serving food at 3pm (it was now 2 minutes past 3! . This instruction had come from the kitchen the staff behind counter appeared somewhat embarrassed at having to deliver this news. There was plenty of unsold food available at the counter. We left not seeing much point in debating the decision and less inclined to plead to be fed. Disappointed we made our way to Carlisi on Dale Street, so all 's well that ends well."

We popped into here whilst in town doing a bit of shopping and the food was superb! A cozy little cafe. A great little find.

Great friendly staff, great value and perfect brekky wrap by Jan. Nice atmosphere too for a midweek afternoon and coffee spot on. Thank you!

I booked a family lunch after a morning concert at the Philharmonic hall. My granddaughter id gluten and dairy free and the menu was able to accommodate her dietary requirements. Great food cooked to order. recommended.

I've been a regular for 20 years, and I can't praise the cooking or serving staff enough. Just had the chef special Menemen, an egg based breakfast which was truly and utterly delicious. I never, write reviews but this was very special dish prepared with skill and love. The Egg is simply the best View menu

What a find, thanks to so many good reviews. Unusual location in the top floor of a building and behind a closed door and sign reading we are open. Once inside it 's a Tardis... two floors, lots of tables, plants and tasteful/relaxing but not overpowering music. It has an independent bohemian feel and the large veggie breakast at £10.99 including a pot of tea was fantastic. This will now become my breakfast of choice whenever I 'm in Liverpool

I recently stumbled upon a wonderful hidden gem just off Bold Street in Liverpool. While the entrance may not seem very promising, once you go up the stairs, you'll discover a fantastic vegetarian and vegan cafe. I highly recommend seeking out this place and not missing the opportunity to visit. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, paired with excellent filter coffee. The staff were lovely and welcoming, providing quick service. Overall, it was a tremendous dining experience.

Pleasant atmosphere as ever. Potato and spinach curry today. Very average, a thicker sauce would make this dish as it is so basic. The nan bread was Wetherspoons level, frozen and heated up to be a bit like soggy cardboard. Nice bread would have saved it. I'll keep coming when I'm in town. Keith's on Lark Lane is my benchmark for this type of food and I have not had a bad meal in there in 40 years. Not picky or looking for anything special either. Here is a definite second place. This Christmas dinner was definitely the worst I have ever had. The nut roast was barely warm, the mashed carrots were freezing cold, straight from the fridge. The apple crumble dessert came with cold custard, and when I asked for it to be warmed up, the woman at the counter insisted it was fine as it was. Serving custard from a carton and not properly warming it up for a table of 20 diners was not the level of service I expected. The overall food quality was below average and I have noticed a lack of consistency in the dishes lately.

We had a vegan breakfast at this restaurant today. Some parts were good, such as the scrambled tofu. However, the sausages could have been cooked better and were served warm. The worst part was the mushrooms, which were hardly cooked and quite cold. They seemed to be whole and possibly dipped in hot water. This really spoiled our breakfast experience. Additionally, it would be better if the margarine was not applied to the toast before serving, as there was too much and it was hard to remove. Unfortunately, we will not be ordering this breakfast again. It's a shame because the restaurant has a lot of character.
