"Having dropped in a couple of times for a libation or two my other half and I decided to sample the fare on offer in this case the Sunday lunch offering. To describe it as an extremely pleasant surprise would be an understatement. Firstly, it was a substantially sized portion so much so that I struggled to finish, which given my gluttonous ways was remarkable. Secondly, the quality the beef I ordered couldn 't have been any better. Moist, tender, pink, and full of flavour it was a triumph. 'er indoors had the chicken which she largely enjoyed. She then found the space to indulge in a wee dessert after while bravely drank copious amounts of craft ale (where 's my Victoria Cross for bravery?, I ask you). The staff couldn 't have been more helpful, the ambience was just right luckily there was soccerball tournament encounters on the television while we were there. And the pub itself is always very clean. I give it five toes up!"
