"My wife and I had often driven past on the way to MK and said that looks nice but never seemed to have time to go there A big mistake! This is a Wonderful little pub restaurant with nice calm atmosphere we celebrated our 35 Wedding anniversary there last night 20/9/21 and our meal was faultless I had calamari and wife had a prawn cocktail 2 sirloins both cooked exactly to our taste mine rare wife’s medium and finished off with creme Brûlée with 3 glasses of wine one large and a pint under £90 service first class ,attentive enough to feel welcome but not too much to interfere with chat. Only sad that we couldn’t add a gratuity to the bill (gotten in the habit of not carrying cash) but will give a generous tip on our next visit because there will be one"

We have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions and have always had good service. I would definitely recommend the chicken pie.

good food, but service not so good. the waitress knocked a drink over me, offered me no free, the waitress sent desserts to false tables. View menu

Pleasant staff, chatty we were not rushed, food was lovely for all my party and price was reasonable for what we had. Lovely open fire we sat near. A place we'd visit again without a doubt. Thank you to all the staff

the personal was welcoming. the portions were small, what I wanted was 'off the menu' so settled for king prawns who were ordinary prawns and just a few under the cover of salat in a huge bowl. the fish was slimy, none of us had hot eating the brokkoli was understated there is al dente and it is understated. the tiny mini pudding was beautiful, but again the hot chocolate was weak and warm. will not go again. waited for 40min for starters, one of which was very dry (damaged had waited under a heat lamp). the mains were ok besides rare steak, which was made medium-sized too good and had to wait for next order as the chef had not read order. the personal has taken off very apologetic and unsatisfactory meals. this is a second visit that was not on standard, last time that my main meal did not arrive until the rest of the party had finished her and dessert. we will not go to the third time.

the table reservation process was excellent. we arrived a few minutes early and our table was not completely finished, but we were offered an alternative table that was good. the menu was sufficient, but somewhat limited until the midday selection was mainly sandwiches. the eating was very good, but an observation was the fish goujon sandwich was described as it served in a rustic roll, but actually served in a white sourdough roll! pudding was good. overall a very good experience and would recommend it definitiw.
