"I didn't end up dining at this restaurant due to my own error, but I must commend the exceptional service I received from the staff. I had intended to treat my parents to a meal, but mistakenly confused this Foxhound Inn with another one. Being out of the country, I had placed some money behind the bar over the phone and spoke with a helpful bartender who tried to find a solution. Unfortunately, a few days later I realized my mistake (my parents were at the other Foxhound). When I called to inquire about a refund due to my error, the landlady was understanding and happy to accommodate. I hope to visit this establishment someday as it seems like a wonderful place, and the staff I interacted with were all kind and accommodating."

Great British pub. Friendly, good choice of real ales home cooked food at reasonable prices. Been there twice today, pensioners lunch, great value. Then for an evening drink, where the outside pizza oven was in full flow. Plenty of people eating pizzas, which looked good. Great pub, our favourite. Still as great as ever.

We liked the food here..they've kept the choices simple and just do a great job on what they can offer. Burger with chilli meat sauce and chips was good..fish and chips was massive! Pleasant atmosphere where locals are regulars. Local artists' paintings on the walls. Only criticism..service rather slow...but there are the usual staffing problems. Staff were all helpful and pleasant.
