Absolutely appalling. Mush vegetables, burnt whitebait starter, tough lamb, dried out Yorkshire pudding. The only thing nice was the roast potatoes! View menu

Excellent food and good value. Enjoyed lunch. Pity only one real ale offered and beer offerings could be better. Highly recommended and would visit and have lunch again

really amazing eating. a fucked jewel. we tried a few places in sandwich and that makes them safe. that was the next level. chicken pie/Mexicon sausage stew/Sticky toffee pudding. the eye pouring well. we went there twice, and both of them were good over excellent I told them that this was every last, please food yes, really good. all beautiful and inviting employees to boot.

a group of eight enjoyed a really excellent meal in george and drago today. the service was also excellent, and it was a very pleasant experience. the variety of food was a real plus, and it was all fresh and well cooked. Unfortunately, none of us could squeeze in a desert, but they looked fantastic. highly recommended. it can be thrown away, but that simply puts it into the league of “hidden gems”. View menu

Prior to this dinner, we had already had dinner several times at the George and Dragon in the past few years. But this time was different, service was friendly but sloppy, the wine list has disappeared and the menu is not as creative as it used to be. The food was good, but overall a disappointing experience compared to our previous visits. There must have been a change in management there. Hopefully new management will quickly improve.

We arrived in good time for our 1pm lunch booking on Sunday 16th December 2018 only to find the premises completely closed with a notice on the window to say 'closed until further notice and all bookings had been advised '. We had most definitely not been advised. I sent a message to the landlord/owner who very rudely stated 'checked, message left '. No message had been left in any form! Disgusted that we were let down so badly. Even if it does reopen we will not be customers! Very disappointed and had to find somewhere else for lunch but as it is the Festive Season it was not easy and we had a mediocre meal to say the least.
